The good thing is a recruit that goes to both can experience both close together then make up his mind. That IMO favors AU. You guys can disagree and debate, but the recruit will have his own firsthand experience to judge from.

Based on the last two weeks, I'm afraid you could be right. I don't doubt that LSU can be a much better atmosphere but the booing and leaving has to stop.

There is no debate.

Even with the booing LSU gameday > AU gameday

My father is an Auburn Alum and my cousins own Auburn season tickets. I have been to numerous games at AU and your gameday atmosphere and stadium atmosphere is not that good.

The only cool thing about the whole AU experience is Tiger or Spirit flying around the stadium.

Also Toomer's Corner is cool, but that totally depends if y'all win.

I will say y'all have better fans, but the entire gameday experience at Auburn is not even close to the LSU experience.

Auburn is lucky to have you. You are the ultimate homer.

IMO Robinson goes to Auburn. He will pick Auburn because of what the Auburn coaches are telling him and so he can play early and play LT.

It will not be because of Auburn's "superior gameday atmosphere."

Right now it is Auburn. His teammate Granier is all LSU unless Alabama offers.

I agree on both points. I'm third generation and do my best for my school.

Oh yeah, to the guy saying he had been to AU games, I have been to a half dozen LSU games. 4 night games. I still maintain my opinion. I will elaborate a bit though. The LSU tailgaiting is better. There is more food, better food, and more music. Maybe the people are not always as friendly, but they are friendly enough and it is more fun.

As for the game, from the Tiger Walk to the crowd before, during, and after the game, I maintain AU >> LSU.

You like most put way too much stock into the gameday atmosphere.

FTR AU can't compare, AU isn't a pit stain, but it's pretty close.

I strongly disagree and think that is a ridiculous statement. I won't bother to get in a pissing contest about it though. My home is the SEC rant where I will engage in a pissing contest. I am sorta a visitor on this board, so I'm posting observations and opinions, but not trying to get in a pissing contest.

No I don't. I just said it was an AU advantage, got laughed at, so stated the reasons why I said AU advantage.

If I had to quantify, I would say 15% of the decision. It is an emotional part and like many decisions to buy or choose something, emotion plays a role.

How much of a better Auburn fan could you be if you focused more on your own team and spent more or all of your time on an Auburn board?

Why do you really feel the need to come to an LSU board (DAILY) and always try to pump sunshine about why your program is better?

Isn't there another team's message board that you envy?

I post on the SEC rant because it is the best SEC board and I do not have enough time or the desire to post on lots of boards. This is the first time I have posted on this board in many months I am pretty sure. I do tend to post on this board about guys AU is recruiting off and on when signing day gets closer (like Dec or Jan when the season is over except for the bowls).

Dude, you try to hard to get LSU fans to see things your way. If you have your opinion and it doesn't match, then take it back to an Auburn board where folks might agree with you.

You and those like you really make it tough to discuss actual football with all your "Auburn is Classy" threads on an LSU board.

I wish that more will start RA-ing you like I'm starting to do right now.

Feel free to do whatever you want. I purposely avoided any flame or personal attack and stated opinions that I feel are personally reasonable.

If it bothers you when someone posts something you disagree with in a fairly non-confrontation manner, explaining it rationally, maybe you are the one who should not be posting on a message board.

Dude, you do the same thing on the rant. If that is your motive, then stay over there. No one needs you to bring your rant-mode to the recruiting board. You're not going to force your opinions on anyone. If Auburn is so great, cool. Be happy about that. Don't try to run down another program to make you feel bigger or better about your own. That's more than feminine.

P.S. Maybe I'll just post on MY PROGRAM'S board. Why don't you consider that before you make a recommendation like that to an LSU fan on Tigerdroppings.

Saying this is lame and got old before you even knew this website existed. Tigerdroppings has become the most popular board in the SEC because it welcomes other fanbases. That appears to have been a goal of the owners of the website and they have succeeded, probably beyond expectations.

So please quit using that one. As I said, I do not post often on this board and probably would have been done with one post just saying that I felt the recent AU gameday experience was an advantage for AU. My simple opinion is laughed at (which was not unexpected), therefore I back it up with some of the same observations ESPN has been making all day today on several different shows.

So, leave me alone and maybe this thread can get back on topic and you can quit wasting your time with me and the RA, go find an AU board, etc etc.

AU gameday >>> LSU's is a flame and a blatant LIE

if that is really your opinion then you are too busy scowling to enjoy Saturday Night in DV.

I mean you thought you had the better record over the last 3 decades two nights ago, and we proved you wrong then. I'll lay it out for you though.

Tailgating - STRONG edge LSU

Stadium size capacity - push

Tradition and History(we're talking gameday here) - LSU

Noise level.... Uhhh Earthquake game ring a bell? HUGE edge LSU

Faculties LSU

Fan support - Auburn but we travel better

Bands and Mascot - LSU live tiger and better band

Yea you are kidding yourself TIM

No, it is an opinion.

Now, for more opinions:

quote:

Tailgating - Edge LSU. It is not a strong edge.

Stadium size capacity - push

Tradition and History(we're talking gameday here) - Very close. I think slight edge AU. The Tigerwalk and Eagle give AU a small edge IMO and historically the two programs are about the same.

Noise level.... Have to go with AU. From the games I have been to at LSU to the recent TV broadcasts, to the level of sustained noise. I will say LSU has greater peak noise capacity, but as for sustained, overall, and for a greater majority of games played, advantage AU.

Faculties Push

Fan support - Auburn but we travel better (agree)

Bands and Mascot - LSU live tiger and better band. Band = LSU. Mascot = AU or push. Aubie wins lots of national awards and we have the eagle also
