Obviously, from looking at your picks, you should be participating in the Newlywed Game rather than this draft.

Yeah that's why I am fighting seeking redemption no kidding I need you guys help and mercy on throw me a bone. If it makes any feel better I will go on a one year probation and can't participate until see is a sophomore Or junior.

I am saying that whatever Hart does on the field it won't impact my score for a few years.
Posted on 4/6/11 at 7:48 pm to Tiger Phanatick
Just seems like the only fair way is to leave Hart out completely. Last year my LT, Matt James tragicly fell off a balcony and died during Spring Break. I had to fight tooth and nail to get a replacement pick, much less grab a guy that went 12th overall. I'll happily go with whatever Dan or Pasty decide, but it seems foolish to give Hart to somebody.

I say we make this the 2011 Dee Hart Memorial Recruiting Mock Draft. Sucks that he got Enfuegoed, but this is going to happen every year, so it will be a slippery slope if we start 'awarding' players to drafters. Just sayin'.
Posted on 4/6/11 at 7:58 pm to Suntiger
For the record, the Dee Hart scenario was a joke I threw out there to get some guys campaigning for his services. The unfortunate result is that Dan will now get a $250 bill from TigerPhan taking him over his texting limit. I think we need to move on and make a donation to OBUDan's Dee Hart Unlimited Texting Foundation.
Peace Out.

What? I didn't know anyone "won" yet.
Reading through the last couple pages, even if I was sober..........I'm confused. Admittedly, I can't keep up.

Okay guys here's another angle. If we can just all agree to get along.
I understand the we are gonna have loopholes but based on that theory we shouldn't have picked up all the players we did last year. They should have been left for grabs.
So can we all Just agree to disagree. If you feel Dan has bias I will remove him from the solution.
Pasty said to write your plea for him. So if you truly want Dee Hart submit your cause to the league.
At that point a silent vote is sent into Pasty. If you get Dee Hart you will have to give up one of your supplemental pick.
If I lose I lose. I can live with it But that kid is a game changer and ranked high on every site. He deserves to be a part of the game. In a few years he will be a household name and should be a part of this game.
We all can't win. It's for shuts and giggles. Are you guys really that he'll bent on me or anyone having the kid.
Honestly the scoring systems is not what attracts me to this game. I have been in tune with a piece of recruiting that I never touched. I went from star gazing to really learning about some of these kids. And yes there is always a 2 and 3 star kid that gets drafted high to the pros. So Dee Hart isnt gauranteed anything. But I like his game and want him to be a part of my team. Him and Hillard are a nice thunder and lighting combo.
Like I said it's just fun and games so I won't keep bitching about it if you guys say no. But I mean really blacklisting a kid on a free game and mock draft.
Dee Hart himself wants to be a part of this team. Plus I agree to changing my avatar.

This post is also on the OP now.
The plan moving forward is to manage your team in a SIMILAR way to a real program. This isn't entirely finalized yet, but the framework seems quite logical (if there is such a thing when you consider we are playing freaking high school/recruiting fantasy football).
Owners planning on moving forward with this thing will be required to provide their emails at a minimum, so if you haven't already done so, please provide that to OBUDan AND Pasty. In the email, let us know your TD handle. Each year, you will have a max of 25 players to select, but will be limited to a total roster of 85. As your guys either graduate (or go to prison), you will replace them with new selections. You may decide to cut guys if they don't pan out. Owners that bail or get kicked out over time will have their spots and rosters offered up to new guys interested in this game. We still don't know how we will decide winners/leaders, but we are getting there. My opinion is we should let each owner rate the players at the end of each season without including their own team. The average rankings determine the scoreboard. The floor is now open for questions. If you want in or out, let us know. No response means no interest!
So that adds one more round to this year's draft!!!
Pasty
I'm late to the party, but here goes:
If y’all want to add that extra layer of roster management, continue drafting a full team (22 players) every year plus the two supplemental picks (2 players) for all participants (for a total of 24 players). Over 5 years (the “maximum” eligibility period), there will be a total of 120 players selected (the maximum size of rosters as limited by the NCAA) by each participant for his team.
For our purposes, attrition is defined as a player that is completely out of “amateur” football due to expiration of eligibility, injury, grades, early entry to the NFL, etc., not simply one that has transferred to another school or JUCO.
For teams that have low attrition, participants shall be allowed to keep a maximum of 85 players on their “scholarship” roster. Any excess players over the 85 maximum shall be relegated to the “walk-on” roster as chosen by the participant as long as they meet the minimum described below.
For teams that suffer from a higher degree of attrition, participants shall be required to keep a minimum of “XX” players on their “scholarship” roster. “XX” is the number of players to be determined by us. For example, say it is determined that the minimum is a three deep depth chart meaning 3 “scholarship” QBs, 3 “scholarship” RBs, 9 “scholarship” WRs, 15 “scholarship” OL, etc., and also say that someone carrying the minimum QBs has one of the QBs quit football, graduate, whatever, dropping the team down to 2 “scholarship” QBs. If a player at that position is available on their “walk-on” roster, they will be allowed to be moved to the “scholarship roster to meet the “XX” player minimum. If no players at that position are available from the “walk-on” roster, compensatory picks (in the same format) will be allowed for the participants AFTER the regular supplemental rounds to get the participant back to the minimum of “XX” players.
Players can not be moved back and forth between the rosters. Under performing players or players buried on the depth chart at their respective schools can be moved from the “scholarship” roster to the “walk-on” roster to make room for newly drafted players when the participant’s rosters are declared on a date to be determined before the start of a season. To limit abuse, players can only be moved from the “walk-on” roster back to the “scholarship” roster once.

For my first supplemental pick, I'm going with the guy who has the best offer sheet available at this spot. The guy who can claim to have had offers from LSU, bama, ArKansas, Mississippi, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Oregon, Louisville, Oklahoma State, Tennessee and UCLA among many others.
Suntiger selects Tavorreous Flemming a/k/a T.K. Flemming S/OLB. There is no denying the talent TK has and there is no denying the problems he has had. I'm guessing...and hoping for his sake...that he gets to a program where a coach will care about him and get his life straight. If that happens, he could be a big time player for a program down the road. I could see Houston Nutt taking him in, but I hope he goes somewhere farther from home like Kentucky, Oregon, Michigan or someplace like that.
Ht: 6'3"
Wt: 205 lbs

Vertical: 36 inches
We just need to see more of this:
