You do know that people that do the crystal balls often have insider info? Hence why they do the crystal balls.

Some “insider” post something saying bama leads and the whole board loses their shite and believes it gospel, but when he starts getting crystal balls to LSU they start being skeptical And saying CBs don’t mean shite. Truly amazing.

The catastrophe syndrome only applies to LSU. Some of the other programs get the Euphoria Syndrome from LSU fans.

The grass is ALWAYS greener on the other side.

But we're nearing the end of the process so these CB's hold more value than the older ones.

This is true, good point. 5 months until early signing period, so yea, I'm sure if they leaning one way it would be evident at this time. So, hope we get all the CB's.

when a bunch of random people put in predictions it’s because they heard a commit was coming and they’re trying to boost their score.

Yes, I see what you mean. Very valid point. Getting close to December so being CB'd at this time means they have narrowed the choices and are leaning in one direction. Looking at it from that perspective does change their meaning and influence. Actually makes me feel much better about both. Thanks Tigah.

If I am not mistaken about what I have heard, there is a competition for the recruiting guys to have the highest percentage of correct predictions.

They use a scale to rate them. If what I have heard is correct if a guy puts in a prediction in say February and never waivers and the recruit signs with that team the guy gets more points than if he just did it within a month or so.

If someone puts in a pick and then changes it and is right he gets less credit than someone who put in the correct pick and didn't change.

But what a lot of them do. Like the Utah regional guy with Apu last year (who may have the highest rating on 24/7) he waits close to the very end when he pretty much knows what is going to happen before he puts his picks in. Unless it is an early commit of course. But he doesn't go out on a limb and take chances he seems to always make his pick right before the player announces his choice.

I may be wrong but this is the way I understand it. And is why a lot of the guys who aren't close to a player will wait to see what others closer to the situation are picking. So there is usually a rush of CB's rolling in around a players commitment date.

No kidding? Makes sense. I mean, I'm sure for the sake of getting subscribers they'd rather get it right than wrong. So, I can see where CB's hold more value than what I was giving them. Thanks for the info Ree.
