I would expect to see a similar lineup along like last year except Ferrer replaces Myia in terms of 10.0 vault. I hope we can see some better consistency from Ruby on her vault this year
Priessman will see some opportunities, I am not convinced her body can handle a full season on floor or vault. We saw last season she struggled mightily postseason on the power events, its just a lot for her.
Kelley will be the interesting development. She had a vault that would have been in the lineup last year had it not been for injury. If we want to replace any of the regular yurchenko vaults I do think I would prefer Cannamela over Finngean. Julz is just much more consistent on her landings, and in terms of form, its just as good as Sarahs.
I do know LSU wants to have 5 10.0 vaults for next season.
The lineup will truly depend if Kelley can get back on vault quickly and do it with consistency, if she can, she definitely will be somewhere in the lineup. Should be fun to watch, I actually think the vault unit will be much improved this year. I think the issue was last year is we had so many people trying to be perfect and give that big score since we lost Gnat and it threw off a lot of the vaults.

It will be interesting to see if Finnegan upgrades on vault. She will need it to be in the mix for a high scoring all around at nationals. Julianna also has an upgrade that could be used if all goes well leading up to competition.
If Julianna continues to nail the full routinely like she did at the end of last season, I don't think its worth her throwing a inconsistent 1 1/2 out there.
Sarah used to compete a double full as an elite but she trains a 1 1/2 but needs a little more control on the landings. We will see some different upgrades are in the works this offseason

There is also another extremely interesting development going on for another 2019 girl at this time. Email me and I'll explain
This one could be a shocker to everyone! She is another top recruit as well but she is committed ;)

She's 2020?
Posted on 7/18/18 at 4:56 pm to DC4LSU
Yes, but there is a good possibility her or one of the other 2020 girls comes down a year early from what I've been told
This senior class will be be tough to replace between Priessman, Cannamela and Finnegan. Hell its not a 100% sure bet McKenna is back at this time.
As of now the 2019 class includes Kai Rivers and Caitlin Smith (who has not trained consistently over these last 2 years)
With the commitment of Kiya the 2020 class has 5 girls, plus I do know we are trying to rebalance out the roster.
2020:
Kiya Johnson
Elena Arenas
Emma Kelley
Haleigh Bryant
Olivia Dunne
Ferrer coming a year early helps out a lot, she gets to be developed and get her feet wet before that class graduates. She should be a mainstay on floor and vault at minimum this coming season. If her bars continues to stay consistent, she very well could be in that lineup as well

So recently there was an interview with Bailey Ferrers mom about Bailey and their elite experience. I highly recommend y'all read, its a good one

This was an excellent interview. I found myself reliving the years of being the parent of an elite gymnast. It is truly a sacrifice for the gymnast, parents and siblings to embrace this journey. Pursuing elite must come from the gymnast's deepest desire to achieve the status amidst injuries, failures and coaching issues. It is my hope that all gymnasts can look back on their days in the gym and competition with the satisfaction in knowing they gave it their best.

Its very interesting to hear about everyones different elite experiences. Some I know of were truly some of the best, others were horrific but it taught them so much.
Btw part two is here

The wear and tear on your body as an elite is insane. I am glad Bailey finally got back to getting healthy and actually enjoying the sport much more when dropping back to level 10.
Her college years will be the best of her life, I have no doubt about that. Looking forward to major contributions from her this coming season. She is working extremely hard this offseason.
I tell you what, she looks incredible right now and will be impact in multiple lineups immediately. She comes to LSU in December

Very much so, as is Eaker and JaFree Scott
LSU should end up with at least one or two of the 3

Great to hear! Do you know what other schools they are considering?

All are keeping their options open but I do know Wong really likes Florida. Eaker is being heavily persuited by UCLA, Florida, Oklahoma, Alabama
All of the GAGE gymnasts are being heavily recruited by literally every major program. Most of them are listening and taking in their options, don't blame them really.
If LSU gets a commit from JaFree Scott soon that could help tremendously with Eaker. I think Jay has a great relationship with Kara's parents. I do know Aleah is working to get her best friends in purple and gold ;)

I like how this is sounding. Hopefully it all works out!
