I'm excited to watch Classics!
I'm also curious about Standley, if anyone knows...

The kiya Johnson situation is getting juicier
Posted on 7/2/18 at 6:47 pm to Rowbear
Do you know if Georgia gave Kiya a hard time over her withdrawal of a verbal commitment? I am hearing some rumbling. Let's hope she will decide on LSU.
Oklahoma just listed a transfer for 2018/19.It wasn't Lizzy though. I guess she is still on the fence as to where she wants to go.

Someone on another board linked an article that said Lizzie was going to stay at Illinois and finish her degree, and possibly compete for Phillipines

Yea that was along the lines of the stuff I heard, she wants to say at Illinois but still train gymnastics.
I don't understand it but whatever she wants I guess ... what a waste, she still had two more years of collegiate gymnastics
Plus for her to compete elite again is going to take some major work and conditioning getting back skills

Here is a small clip posted by GAGE of Aleah's bar routine
Next time I see her in person I will have to record it
She is training some bigger upgrades, especially with her transitions from low to high bar.

I would say bars is her weakest event but she has dramatically improved over these last 6 months, its incredible.
Looking forward to seeing her skills at the competitions this summer, the more she does it in a competition setting the better she will be.
I heard they want to throw the double double out there soon but as always with a major skill such as that, it comes with incredible risk...
The tuck double Arabian she competes can be done in the pike position easily
She needs to either upgrade the double tuck or double back in her floor to get those extra points on floor.

Really wish I could go to Classics and Nationals this year...I would love to see her and Tatum and Dunne compete in person...*fingers crossed* there will be more to add to my list

I will be at P&G championships this year.
Yea I hope Dunne puts it together for the meet. I’ve watched her train so many times before and it’s frustrating to see how flawless the routines in the gym are compared to actual competition. If she can perform her upgrades and execute them like she does it in the gym, she has a legit shot at making that worlds team but she has to execute it under pressure!
Yea Tatum is on the rise, the injury held her back last year. Big stuff coming her way, just needs to improve on beam mainly.
We might get a commitment before summers end so I heard.

This has nothing to do with recruiting, but I’m curious what you guys think about this article by Grace McLaughlin. She was a senior this past season at Florida.

Elena Arenas will compete as a level 10 until she comes to LSU, she is done with elite.
Decided to drop back and focus on preparing for college. Not sure the impacts of her training on her body. She is using level 10 to correct/fix up her form on stuff.
Seems like getting back to the basics this year has helped her dramatically this year/summer. Its much better right now.
Now it's working on her form and consistency, so we will see Arenas competing at JO's these next two summers before LSU
If she were to ever try to reattempt to go back she would have to go a qualifier again. She seems way happier now

Sad for GMc but I can’t say I’m surprised...it seems like Florida does this or forces a medical quite frequently.
As for Arenas, I’m glad to hear she’s happier. She had a great international elite career, and I’m looking forward to following her over the next two seasons as a Level 10

It will be interesting to see if she compete her double at LSU
She has a great vault
Hopefully they can clean up her form on floor over the next year, of all things this should be on the top of her list.

Y'all that 2020 class
Dunne
Arenas
Kelley
Bryant
Johnson
That class would. be filthy
Still have a feeling LSU brings in one of the 2020 girls in early, well I've been told
