Why are they choosing to go elsewhere? (Reed, Hunter and Davis) Not trying to flame, only trying to figure out the logic from these statements.
I am not saying that they are. I am sure the staff tried to spin the numbers to make us look better where they could. The NFL numbers aren't subject aren't affected by the comparison, though. The numbers alone speak for themselves without even mentioning Auburn, and they aren't "past numbers" like people keep saying. LaFell is going to get drafted based on two down years of LSU offense. My logic is that LSU, despite having significant offensive struggles this year, is STILL a safe bet to put WRs and RBs in the League. The talent of the players has a ton to do with that, but even the current staff has an established a track record.
I think the reasons those three looked elsewhere wasn't solely related to the offense this year. Davis is a Texas fan, and when he got the offer, he jumped. Hunter is from VA and UT was closer to home. He was also being recruited by a coach who got canned. As for Reed, if it is true that DJ didn't visit him for months, then I really don't blame him for looking elsewhere. That's Miles' fault for not making sure his lame duck coach was still doing his job. Like I said, I'm sure the lack of offensive production was a problem for these guys, but I think in each case, there are also additional reasons besides that for them going elsewhere. If lack of production was a total killer, we wouldn't be getting still highly rated WR recruits to fill the void that these guys left. Boone and Fobbs were looking at schools with much sexier offenses, but both will likely be Tigers if asked.
As for Auburn's recruiting ratings, they are excellent this year. I think our staff severely underestimated the impact your staff could have on guys from LA or nearby. I don't think they will make that mistake next year. As LA goes, so goes LSU recruiting, so let's talk after next year's blockbuster class and see how things look then.

I have never visited Auburn or Alabama for that matter... I am sure they are nice.
Take a look at a country like Haiti...we, US Americans with and without Maps are blessed beyond comprehension..
Another words, all the SEC campuses are all nice...a kid has to decide what home feels like.

One of the running back recruits from this year said that the current staff was preaching Cadillac Williams and Ronnie Brown to him. I'm too lazy to look up the exact quote, but it was something like..."they had Cadillac williams, Ronnie Brown, and Bo Jackson. They know what to do with running backs there."
Well, we have had 14 pro-bowl running backs in the league from AU. I doubt any program in the country can claim as many. Not USC, not Miami, not anyone is my guess.

I am a lifelong LSU fan with a son who is a student at Auburn. When LSU and Auburn play we agree to disagree. That said, as someone who loves LSU dearly Auburn is a safe and beautiful place.
And I have been to LSU over half a dozen times. A big time player does not go wrong picking LSU or AU at the end of the day. He just decides which is a better fit for him.

I respectively disagree Miami.
LSU has a reputation of putting WR's in the NFL . AU does not.
However he chose AU for a fresh start and the fact that Davis at the time was committed to LSU

I agree, but think that will change soon (the AU part).

Reed should go where ever he wants...that being said if I lived in Louisiana and decided to ateend school of an arch rival I would probably make plans not to come back and live in Louisisna after my playing days were over....
If I owned a business, there is no way a #1 Louisiana recruit goes to Auburn to play ball and then comes to me for a job unless LSU did not recruit him....Go work in Alabama....and dont tell me that its not that way in Alabama

Adams led the SEC in receptions/yardage I believe.
Shay Hodge led the SEC in both categories. You are mistaken.
Aaron Hernandez also had more receptions than Adams.

It should also be pointed out that LSU had two of the top six receivers (in terms of receptions) in the SEC this year.
1 Shay Hodge Mississippi 70
2 Aaron Hernandez Florida 68
3 Darvin Adams Auburn 60
4 Brandon LaFell LSU 57
5 A.J. Green Georgia 53
Terrance Toliver LSU 53

Auburn's a nice town, but there's much more to do in Baton Rouge.

One stat that is interesting is that Auburn's second leading reciver in terms of completions is Mario Fannin a RB with 42 completions
im sure its been mentioned, but mario was not a running back for us this year.

That is funny. An implied threat to an 18 year old you do not know. And I am pretty sure you are not a business owner.
