Considering we haven't landed any 5 stars so far this class, we may have resources to throw at Kelly's remaining top targets. JMHO
If we pay overmarket for a kid because we have extra money, how are we any different from Texas, TAM or any other school we constantly berate as "ruining college football" by outbidding everyone? Are we against that plan of action or just upset we aren't as rich? In other words, we are OK with the rules as they are as long as we are competitive within them. If not they must be changed. Is that about the gist of it?

Kelly has to be strategic where to allocate resources because we can't throw cash at every blue chip player like Texas and aggie can. If he has a target that is a game changer type you can bet he's going to do whatever he can to entice them to come to LSU. That's the nature of recruiting going forward. LSU can either adapt or sit back and watch us lose out on recruiting battles. Considering a large number of our top players are getting NIL money from an ambulance chaser doesn't necessarily give us the moral high ground does it?

Apparently Shone Washington is coming in for the game. He’s a big dude. Was a big target 2 years ago so would love to get him now.
