1. They lost their starting QB the week before and that can kill a teams confidence. Especially considering they had to play a Freshman.
They stunk last week as well.
Oh wait..

A team full of 3 stars on paper = ole miss or miss St.
Would be better than Kentucky and Vanderbilt. If not equal. I agree with you whole heartedly. I am upset that everyone keeps dropping this Brantley excuse when I don't recall him playing a down of defense. And Muschamp is supposed to be one of the defensive minds in the game.
On the second play they gave up a 46 yarder. How does Brantley being hurt effect this.
They were outcoached bottom line. The offense once again I understand. But that is just a way to take away credit from our ball hawking stimey defense.

#2 They are in the process of installing a new offensive and defensive philosophy and system. Athletes help to cover for lack of knowledge or understanding of the system. But LSU has the same type horses as Florida. It will take a little time for the kids to learn and have confidence in the new systems.
Yep. Rankings can be very important in that people recognize the value in a specific recruit. Offer sheets as well. I think you will still find that all teams who have won a BCS NC are usually top ten in recruiting rankings.
You still have to get the right kids for your system though.

Florida is a little down, and so is Texas and they are both full of top recruits.
However, Oklahoma, bama and LSU are at the top of the polls and they are full of top recruits too.
It takes coaching, attitude AND talent.
