I really think Edinburgh is destined to be a guard in the LSU system. He reminds me a lot of Herman Johnson and will probably compete for a spot sometime around 2014 or 2015 when he'll be a redshirt sophomore or junior.

Well if he ends up at guard i wouldn't be surpised either.

I think he is raw and has very good feet and lateral movement.

Company Line " Wait till moffit gets a hold of him"

Either way i'm getting a mammouth that will end up playing somewhere.

He reminds me a little of Barksdale. Big and athletic but not a punishing blocker.

That was my thought as well.

With my 11th Round selection, Suntiger selects Ryan Ward, OT from Iowa.

Ht: 6'6"
Wt: 270 lbs

Yes jembeurt, I finally took and offensive lineman, and I got a really good one. I love this kid at tackle for Iowa. Should vie for playing time very soon as the depth at tackle for Iowa is not very good at all. Plus, Iowa has a history of making All American tackles. Ward's dad was an offensive lineman for the Illini and his brother is the starting tackle for Northwestern. He's a smart kid who scored a 30 on his ACT and earned a 4.0 grade-point average last year.

Per his high school coach:

"He’s just a combination of all of it, He’s got great size. He’s an outstanding person, outstanding grades. And he’s physical and has a little bit of a mean streak in him. I just think he’s got all the pieces to be an outstanding college offensive lineman.”

He also had a very impressive offer list and was an army all american.

He was on my board as well. I couldn't find great tape on him though.

Wait. Did we skip Spence? I'm ready, but I wanted to be sure before I made my pick.

Ryan Ward

Not a lot of film on him, but he has good extension and feet. Gets to the next level really well and definitely finishes his blocks. I like that bulldog type mentality in my tackles. I think he will be a really good one for Iowa.

Now I have to hope the guy I passed on comes back around! :crossesfingers:

Spence picked Orlando Thomas. It was the very last post on the previous page.

Wow, he was still available? I thought about him a few rounds ago but just assumed he was taken already for some reason.

Brandon Beaver, CB, Washington

Very little depth at the CB position for UW. Beaver is ranked pretty high in quite a few services and should start within the first year or two. My first CB taken in this draft.

I have to say that I'm glad you are in this RMD TDawg. I think you bring a perspective on players and west coast teams that most of the rest of us overlook or don't know about.

I follow recruiting very closely, but pretty much only West Coast recruiting. I haven't heard of a ton of the guys that have been picked . I remember after we broke it down by conference last year, I had the most Pac-12 players by a wide margin. I'm always hesistant to pick East Coast and South players because everyone here knows about those guys so I'm wondering if you all know something about them that I don't and are passing them up. Between that and my familiarity with the West Coast recruits, it's pretty easy to see why I end up with a ton of them.

You know your stuff, that much is obvious.

I've looked at a lot of West Coast kids this year.

Thing is that before I entered my last pick, Caleb Azubike, I deleted the post I typed. Typed Beaver in and delete him, then entered Azubike again. Texted this to Dan, as why it took me a while to pick. As soon as I pressed enter, I realized he would be high on your board.

ETA: I had to get Phillips off the board before Itsthatdude came in and took another defensive player I wanted from underneath me.

My bad. I've had a few picks stolen too. Not to the point where I typed out their names though. I had my Beaver post all typed up with like 2 picks to go. I'm surprised I didn't jinx myself.
