LSU was mentioned in the past with Jermaine Mathews but I haven't seen anything in over a month so this isn't surprising.

I think the late confidence in Mickens is a sign we might have lost out on Howard, IMO. Mickens was pretty much wrapped up to UNC until this morning.

Probably Miami from what I’ve read, but it’s just intuition more than anything factual. Like missing out on plan A and then scrambling for plan B at the last second. Still, would love to have either.

For me, anybody more than Mickens, Womack, and Hughes in July would be Couyon gravy.
I really don't think anybody is locked up - for any program - till early NSD. The better the player the higher the chances of getting the ridiculous bag at the last minute but it's cool to speculate.
I'm good with the baws who are actually a little nervous about the pace of recruiting, too.
Most of the melting is by the miserable pukes that have now found something to pounce on and run with. They give no fricks about the recruiting situation. Negative pessimism is just what they do on any boards they are on.
Piss on em' - till the fire starts.

Not sure where or what you’ve read? But from what I’ve gathered LSU is still confident they land Howard. Mickens isn’t a backup plan.

Just think about the kids we’re favored to land commitments from. Georgia, Maryland, Minnesota, Indiana. All elite players. When is the last time LSU pulled elite players from some of those places? It’s incredible.
