My view is that he does have an "offer." What seems to be the case is that they may not accept his committment at this time. Look at this offer we made to Tate Forcier last year:

If you read it closely you will see that it's conditioned on the ongoing evaluation process that all schools conduct. My guess is that Lindsey's letter is very similar to this one. Given the non-offer rumors, my guess is that they want to evaluate him more before accepting a committment. It looks like the Lindsey's are playing a game of chicken. I think the lengthy conversation with Porter and the scheduled announcement is the sound of both sides sticking to their guns.

Hopefully we get him. We need O-Line studs badly. I love my LSU brethren but frick off and let us get some TEXAS now and then.

BTW... Our QB this year? Yeah... he led his HS team to the Texas State Championship his senior year.

I'm sure his parents would rather make the drive from The Woodlands to BR than Tuscaloosa, which is about 5 hours farther away. Guess they can fly. If you live in The Woodlands, you should be able to afford it.
