He fits into crowtons system rather well.

he's more than likely not going to start any games in the 2009 season, but he would be used.

2010, it would look like ford/brown/ridley/and murphy would be getting carries.

He could be LSU's next "kevin faulk" type player.

he seemed to do okay in the NFL

Im sick of hearing the bs about his "character". Give me one example, just one. Not the team player bullshite, Im talking about actual trouble, legal or otherwise. Noone can name one incident. Its queer already.

people are afraid he's going to go "perrilloux" on LSU...

but they fail to realize that RP was a troublemaker from age 15.

this kid is squeaky clean, and is very smart and talented.

wonder what jersey number he's going to choose?

I like your optimism Doc. We are the ONLY bigtime program in this thing. I feel we have just as good a chance as anyone.

Seriously, the whole character issue on Bryce Brown is nonexistant! The kid is just competitive and confident in himself. If there's anything fishy it's his mentor... not Bryce.

The dude's a stud, and imagining him behind Russell Shepard might be one of the most beautiful things ever displayed on a football field!

I hope his visit goes well, LSU (unlike his other schools of interest) have national championship potential every year. Like Doc, I too am optimistic about this kid, lets just hope the kid likes what he see's in BR this weekend.

Also this year alone we've recruited what could easily be a handful of national championships in the making... I hope he see's that he'd be signing along with other amazing athletes of the P&G with a "damn" bright future!

From Volnation:
I just heard that Lsu has a few of its old players in town from the NFL to talk to Bryce Brown not sure if this is true but it was from a buisness owner who I talk with who lives in Baton Rouge. He told me that Joseph Addai was in town from the Colts and is going to be on campus working out this weekend. Also Charles Scott the Big RB, Rueben Randle and Shepard will be his co-host. Hopefully we do not wake up Monday morning and hear that Bryce Brown has schedule a press conference. I still think there a 60 percent chance he goes to Maimi.

Anyone else heard this? Wouldn't this be a recruiting violation??

it's a win win situation really...

even if he doesn't end up at LSU, the fact that he is taking a visit this late and hasn't committed to miami yet, is a big plus for future recruits.

"what's so special about baton rouge that the #1 recruit just HAD to take a visit?"

Oregon was in early. Not much talk about them although he made some nice comments about Oregon. I think he said the likes the uniforms ( ) and the style of play.

Former players that are in the NFL, go back to their college in the offseason all the time to workout. The NCAA can't do shite about that!
