Like him a lot(easily a top 5 RB in this class) but hated the RB situation at USC

Yeah, I agree with you there. I just think he's a steal this late in the game so I had to take him.

great get, a kid I was hoping would slide down further. Would've gotten him sooner, but I already have James Quick and Jaelen Strong who were on the top of my boards.

Good pick. I really wanted to take him, but I decided to pick between him and John Ross. Daniels is a freak athlete though. He's now at 6'4" 220 lbs and runs a 10.7 100m. He's just raw as a WR. Ross is a guy that will likley step in right away at UW and play in the slot, but Daniels has a higher ceiling.

my other missing pick...

Andy Dodd, OL
I need guards and DTs, and had told myself I'd lay off more LSU guys, but that all changed when I looked at my draft table. The dude had an unreal number of knockdowns and was an offer over several guys rated higher

Alright, alright, I've agonized enough...

OBUDan selects:

Asiantii Woulard, QB, UCLA

Ask jembeurt, I've gone round and round on QBs. When I started my depth list, I had about a half dozen I liked, which was my cue to hold off, because I knew I wouldn't be disatisfied with the choice. Funny enough, Woulard wasn't one of them. A couple of them are actually still on the board... so I'm gonna hold out hope for the supplemental rounds to snatch 'em.

Anywho, there's so stinkin' much to love about Woulard. Big kid with prototypical frame (6'4, 200). He's got some explosive running ability. But he wants to operate in the pocket. He's only been playing QB for 2 years. He won elite 11 MVP. Coaches have raved about his decisiveness, how quickly he gets the ball out. He throws with some smoke. Can throw from all angles and spots on the field. But he's actually got pretty good foot work. He's very coachable and always improving. All I see is upside, upside, upside. He's a good, level-headed kid. He plays in one of the most talent-rich states in the nation and excelled.

So what's the catch? Doesn't that sound like a surefire, 5-star talent with an offer list that's as deep as it is long? That's what I can't figure out. He's pretty highly ranked (4-star on all sites, top 150ish recruit, top 8 dual-threat QB). But doesn't that seem low for a guy with all his promise? And why is UCLA probably the best school to offer him? What am I missing? FSU and Miami passed. Oregon didn't offer.

Those things bother me. Which is why this pick is so hard for me. There's actually a guy I LIKE better, but I'm going on pure physical upside and talent here, because I do think Woulard is more talented than him. If that guy gets taken, I'm going to kick myself, but I have a hunch he won't...

Yep, I meant to mention this as well. Depth is certainly a concern, especially if the staff actually gives any fricks about giving Devin Fuller (who I drafted last year) a shot at playing QB again.
