FWIW, he didnt look that great in the Mississippi Vs Alabama game. This is the third time now that I've watched him be play bad vs other good players.
I said it during the MS vs AL all-star game. He'e Etling, with slower feet and maybe stronger arm.

He definitely seemed more poised that last drive even with his team not having a run game

Lmao. Good thing you guys aren't evaluating talent for a living

His mechanics seem pretty good. His 3-step drop is nice to watch as his sideline throws have a little velocity and most importantly are accurate.
It is scary to see him throw into double coverage so much but I'm certainly not concerned with his arm strength for what we'd ask of him at LSU.
He definitely needs to hit the gym though. I'm worried someone might break him when he gets hit.

He isn't going to be perfect. The name of the game is to develop all the players we recruit.
So if he has short comings hopefully LSU can fix those.

He's still 17
He needs a redshirt in the worst kind of way. A year to physically mature and adjust to SEC speed will go a long way with him.
He has arm talent, a good head on his shoulders, grit, not a statue in the pocket.
Just needs time.

No I'm not watching the game. I trust our coaches to recruit and evaluate.

Who are we as LSU fans to criticize any QB.. especially one committed to us

They were coached to take chances this game. They were told that no one will be open down field so they have to fit it into tight windows. 1 TD pass so far.
