The Tigers handed out an offer to the nation’s No. 3 running back in the 2017 class, and some close to the scene in Texas feel that the Tigers are now the team to beat.
The 5-foot-11, 198-pounder plays for Langham Creek in Houston, Texas, but he is originally from New Orleans and grew up a Tiger fan.
“I’d love it if LSU offered,” Carter told Brian Perroni of 247Sports back on March 27. “I’m originally from Louisiana. I’m from New Orleans, the Third Ward. We came over after Katrina hit.”

Wonder if he is related to the Sam Carter (Alien Hastings/TCU) family.

Will be big now if Moses decides to play LB

Sonny just put in his cb to LSU

At first glance, I read the title as 5'1.7" (almost 5-2 height!)

With lsu looking at white as rb/lb, and the depth we have at rb are they selling him as there top rb next yr

White and Moses not playing RB at LSU. Just my opinion though.

I doubt that too. White will be an ILB and Moses will be an OLB. God help everybody if we somehow land Joyner and White. The 3-4 LBs in 2017 would be White, Garrett as ILBs and Joyner and Moses as OLBs
F**king drooling.
F**king drooling.

I think white is a lb too

He'll be the #1 RB before 2017 is over with. Kid looks ready to play college now, and is only a sophomore. That speed and stops on a dime is Reggie Bush stuff.

i disagree. he has high level acceleration, top end speed and fluid hips, but he does not have the strength to break tackles. all of his highlights {granted sophomore highlights} were either special teams slams, or as a running back, him breaking away from the box with little to no contact.
unless he increases his leg strength and upper body strength tremendously, he will either make a perfect gunner on special teams, be a serviceable scat third down back, or convert to defensive back, probably safety.
i think he is very worth the offer, and the highlights i saw were from his soph year. that said, big work is needed in his leg/core strength.
if he has a higher physical threshold and can bulk while maintaining speed then running back for sure... if not, I'm thinking safety or nickel back. he seems more aggressive laying the wood than breaking tackles.
good offer nonetheless, just my two cents based on soph highlights

Alright Mel Kiper
Kid can run the football, and I'll never be worried about LSU with skills player evaluations

Dylan is a really good to great running back.
that point aside, he is extremely elite at linebacker.
we need to respect what he wants to do, but linebackers make better first round draft choices, and have much longer nfl longevity over a RB.
Heres hoping he sticks with us for one more year of recruiting, and is open to a better business side of football. yes, i know it less prestigious on defense. if you're good enough you will make a name no matter what the position.
I hope he makes the best business decision for his future and that of his family.
Cant be easy, wish him the best

just my opinion. I'm wrong often; no pride involved here.
just remember drayton calhouns speed, kavarah holmes and even jeryl brazil.
again he hits hard on defense, but i didn't see one instance of him breaking tackles for yac. thats a big requirement for miles. time will tell, but unless he can show the grittiness for the grind of a running back, i see him as a db. no harm, no foul....

You do know when I say college ready, it doesn't just mean power back right? Since the rankings were made, there have been plenty 5 star top 3 RBs and a couple #1RBs built around his height and weight that looked similar to him as seniors. Did you watch his highlights? He broke tackles, not the typical 100 that we see from the usual 6'0 220lb+ RBs we've been getting, but he's only a sophomore, and is already over 190lbs at 5'11.

Kid is a take, right now...

Without question he's a take, kid rarely gets tackled on first contact too.
