Ross said he would be signing today and keeping it quite. So we should know by the end of the day like evans last year.

For the love of Jesus, the staff has to still fill 3 more OL spots before Leigh becomes a possible 5th.
We can't afford to go all in for Leigh and miss out leaving us with 1 or 2 OL

Probably a good leverage play for "negotiations". He's a good enough prospect to know that any school would keep a spot open for him. So not signing early doesn't affect him.
But NOW with many top prospects already signed demand and scarcity take over. A LOT of coaches will be desperate for one of the few remaining big time recruits. That desperation leads to $$$$$
You never know what can happen in the future. He may not be good enough to be a pro player. He may have injury issues that limit his college career. But what he knows now is MANY schools want him and they are willing to do what it takes to get him.

That's what I was getting at. 0% chance he's fired until February now. If he gets Leigh he keeps his job. Leigh+Dellinger+Kimo+JUCO is solid.
If not he needs to be gone February 3rd.

I agree 100%. OL recruiting is different from other position sets. Having a couple of 3-star recruits is better than one, prized 5-star recruit because depth is always such an issue.
Hope that kid from FSU comes our way.

Not sure if any of ya'll have noticed this, but OU now has 13 OT's on their roster after adding the 2 signed today and none of them are Seniors. It's one of the highest #'s at that position in the country. This has to help us in regards to Leigh. We have 6 after signing Dellinger today.

Is it stupid to fire Cregg now who has failed to secure Leigh and bring in the new guy, hoping they connect well? I don’t see how anything changes from now until February in regards to us being an attractive option.
