I really hope we get this kid I drove up to the game from New Orleans last night and he is SERIOUS ...... Coach Chavis was on the sideline last night and at times he was shaking his head at the plays he made.

I saw some highlights and the guy looks so smooth and fluid playing quarterback you have to think that can translate well at the next level.

Hes 1 of those guys that we want bad, we just dont know what position he will translate to at the next level. We get a few of those guys every year. Big, fast, freak athletes who might not have a set position, but we know that they can PLAY. Out of the other uncommitted players in the state, Beckwith is the 1 I want most. Hes just so versatile he can play a plethora of positions in LSUs D.

Agree about the verstility. I've been very vocal on my opinion of him as a LB but he's starting to change my mind more and more. The last few times he's been seen, he's shown much better fluidity in space and that's big at LB. Regardless a big prospect on our board for his talent, which I would never question. If LB doesn't work out then he can just spin down and play DE.

Imo the strength of this class is verstility. Quite a few of our commits and prospects have excellent versatility to play multiple positions. The best part is that most are also good players at their possible positions. Many versatile athletes are just that, athletes, that struggle to find a true position ala Russell Shepard.

Diarse-could play WR or S, even RB if speaking truthfully
Herron-could stay slimmer and be a SDE or bulk up and play DT
Patterson-definitely a DE but I think he could play TE as well
Jones-could play many positions and why many of us were on his train long before the staff. Should have had an offer from day 1 and I'm glad the staff came around
Robinson-could play CB, S or even WR with his size/athleticism combo
White-CB, WR or RB
Brazil-CB, WR or RB
Jefferson- CB or WR

Prospects
Beckwith-athletic enough to play LB or TE, big enough to play DE
Willis-CB or S

That's a great problem to have

The Kid can play receiver too. He has good hands and he is a bruiser, like Dwayne Bowe and Brandon LaFell. If the team had a QB good enough to start; Kendall would play Receiver. Fast and tall but they have him playing QB.
