No inside information, but like Saban he may feel like the portal and the State of college football has passed him and retire. But lsu can't realistically buy out his contract until another 3 or 4 years

He came here to win a championship. Saban retired after winning multiple NCs at multiple schools. He had done it all and when he saw the sport changing he left because what else was he going to win at that point. Kelly isn't going to retire. He still wants that NC.
He will either ride out his contract to try and get an NC or be fired trying.
