Keeping Ricks one of the bigger recruiting wins of the cycle?

Seems like settling things down on that front is one of the bigger wins this offseason than any. For a while, it looked like he was gone but the staff kept him in house. Can only mean good things are to come.

Agreed. I think Ricks lost his mind for a second, and it just took a little love to keep him in house.
I think Mike Jones is going to be a really reliable player for us next year, too.
I'm comfortable with the defensive line and edge CBs, and more comfortable with the LBs now. We're still going to need other guys in the secondary to step up if our defense is going to make big strides.

when you recruit the players and coaches we do, it's reasonable to expect those strides. And after a 5-5 season then completely whiffing on our first 2 DC hires ontop of the already weird covid year I Honestly felt for the kid. Glad the good guys won in the end.

There were multiple lsu insiders saying that the rumors of him contemplating leaving were true. It wasn’t just OSU fans

Not arguing. Im pretty sure most people were laughing at them and not believing any of it until real lsu insiders were saying there was uncertainty. Not saying i think there was a chance he was leaving. Just pointing out the fact that it wasn’t just some OSU fans
