Honestly, if Davis was your son and he is obviously a potential NFL prospect. Why would you tell him to go to the 106th ranked offense in the country?

Yeah, your right. we totally suck. We haven't turned out any NFL quality receivers in....oh wait.

Let's see Garrett Gilbert on the field before he's annoited please.I get tired of people saying so and so is going to be good before they have even played. He may be very good but Mustain was very good also,so was Chris Simms and Ron Powlus.

Devery Henderson, Michael Clayton, Dwanyne Bowe, Buster Davis, Early Doucet, Brandon LaFell, and Terrance Toliver in the past 8 years. How many schools even come close to that?

Far too often folks dwell on the past. Since Crowton got here, LSU hasn't had a first rounder and that likely continues the next couple years (despite no real drop off in talent).

If I were a top receiver, LSU wouldn't be very high on my list.

You are not a top ranked receiver.

LSU is attractive because it does turn out NFL WR's and is on national television more often than comparable programs in other conferences.

Next year will go a long way in determining the direction of the program, this year may have turned some WR candidates off, but not Davis. If he is going to Texas, he was bound to do it anyway. Pressure on him to do so is incredible.

They had two receivers who were draft eligible. One was nicked up the whole year, and the other almost died in a car accident the week before the draft. That's a very limited sample size.

LaFell will be a first rounder this year, and Toliver will have the opportunity to succeed next year as the go to guy. Besides, Crowton won't be back next year.

Alabama is really knocking down doors with their receivers aren't they.Ask Julio how he feels about the passing game.Receivers will get drafted on talent alone, they don't need great production in college.Julio would be a 1st rounder this year based on talent and hype, definitely not production or those drops.Same as Lafell.

Excellent point. Especially if the Raiders are on the clock.
