What facts? Like the fact we are coming off of a 13 win, SEC Championship season? Or the fact we have players who have won the last two Bednarik and Thorpe awards and a coach who won most major coaching awards this past season?

Exactly.

We have had a lot of bad news lately and it is clearly affecting everyone.

Things are not going well right now. Still, LSU is one of the top programs in the country and we will have a chance to win another championship this year. No need to sweep any mention of bad news under the rug and no need to worry about the sky falling.

To the idiots bashing him, you really need to think before you post. Recruits read this site and what you guys are saying about him is ridiculous. He was a tiger all of 30 minutes ago and we have 4+ pages of hate. Really?

This is a prime example of a gump alter.

How can this help? It cant.

Sorry, I just don't believe that a message board will deter a kid from playing at a top school.

There are 2 extremes on these boards and then people that fall inbetween like me.

I think LSU is a top 5 program. If I was a top recruit, I would play defense for LSU in a heartbeat, but I completely understand why some of the offensive guys may shy away. We don't have the best history of showcasing a RB, QB or WR. It's just LSU (and Miles) style of game. We win on defense and try not to blow it on offense. That is the way it is. Hopefully with Mett (and an open minded Miles) next year we can change that perception.

But a message board is not the problem.

Example: How many LSU offensive players are ever in the Heisman conversation???

HUH?

frick, gotta break it to my parents who went to every game from '48 to 2000 or so when they passed the season tickets on to the kids and [parents who didn't go to LSU BTW] that they're 'bandwagon' fans.

While I don't necessarily agree that message boards don't hurt, I agree with the above; and I don't think a D recruit decommited because of our offense or lack of it on January nine.

Thats why there are so many gump alters and trolls on all these boards. They know LSU is the only football program left that stands in their way from winning the west every year.

My guess is there's a lot of negative recruiting going on right now toward LSU commits/targets. Brazil is a stud, so I hope the staff can bring him back in to the fold.

Agreed.

My office is LSU, everyone that knows me knows I bleed purple and gold, I have my degree on the wall, my first football game was LSU, my best memories are LSU, etc. etc., yet if I say something negative on a MB about Miles, then apparently I'm a bandwagon fan. So, I wonder how if I attended LSU and have a degree from LSU I can be a bandwagon fan? That's just absurd.

I think the bandwagon thing is highly overrated. It is not people like your parents. I'm being facetious.

Not hating on him. Just saying Brazil isn't a big loss. He's a undersized running back. Would get more playing time if he went else where.

Does anybody know if he will be at the Jr day this weekend? If he is I would expect him to recommit.

To the people blaming this on the BCSNCG, know that Jeryl defended Jefferson and Miles after the game so you can rule that out.

My honest guess is that he'll end up as a DB / return specialist. Basically a Ron Brooks clone.

It's pretty funny what has happened to us. We have an amazing season but then behave like we were Ole Miss.

I don't understand what is wrong but hopefully we get someone who can recruit.

Any one who is not concerned right now is just delusional. Hopefully February will be more like 2011 and not this dreadfull 2012.

Right, but the negative recruiting is coming from other coaches who have kids who only remember the most recent thing in their life (i.e. the last game).

GUYS!

BREATHE!

HE IS DE-COMMITTING TO ENJOY THE PROCESS FOR A BIT. i FULLY EXPECT HIM TO BE AT LSU.

Relax and let him have some fun. He loves LSU and wants to be here.

Also, per Shea:

Just confirmed with 2013 Loranger ATH Jeryl Brazil that he has decommitted from #LSU. Wants to experience the process.

LC probably told him to enjoy it a bit. So, let him enjoy it. I'm surprised he committed so early anyways.

Agreed.

LSU should run the table in 2012, that will help, but the coaches MUST do something to stop the bleeding. Hire a stud recruiter? I don't know, but take some steps.

Maybe so, but i doubt it seriously. Kick returner and 3 touches on offense a game if he's lucky if he comes to LSU.
