Agree Gravitiger. Was just putting the possibility out there. With the Juco thought it's mainly centered around the fact that all of our S prospects aside from Reid and Loston are raw. I personally think Martin and Thompson will be starters eventually but that's as far as I can go right now. Love Eugene but not sure if he'll play anywhere but special teams. Gibson was just a flier on a good athlete with absolutely no experience in hs as a S. Just thinking the coaches may bring in a Juco S to hold serve at S for 2 years if Reid leaves early with Loston or Martin at the other spot. Just thinking out loud to be honest. I'm not a fan of Juco players as a whole but in certain situations they are helpful.
To the question asked about cb depth and some S being able to swing over. Vinson is still seen as a cb at this point and Martin is a guy that has the athletic skills to play there if needed. I don't believe depth will be a problem though. Simon and Mathieu will start. David Jenkins is a future star by most accounts and will play a good deal this year. Jalen Collins was described by the players as the best athlete on the team and I get the feeling that Cooper will get him some run at CB or S. Add in Dwayne Thomas who can play as a freshman. Not sure Raymond and Mills are ready to play just yet. Also a chance one of the wrs guys like Fobbs or Turner get some CB looks in the spring/summer. If we stay healthy we should be good though young at CB.
