I have no idea why UT fans think Hilliard will become a Vol. He has made more pro-LSU comments than just about any other recent recruit, and he obviously knows LSU is looking at Lache.
Btw, here's the list of in-state players who have turned down LSU since 2006.
1) Joe McKnight
2) Janzen Jackson
3) Darrington Sentimore (if you want to get technical)

Their reasoning, I believe, is because they signed Jackson and have gotten verbals from Broussard and Johnson. This, coupled with UT's recent successes in signing good players for 2010 and their complete faith in Orgeron and Wilson, has led many Vol fans to believe they can sign whoever they want out of Louisiana.

Wilson really only has pull in one school... that school just happens to have a great DT in 2011. From what I have heard is that most High school coaches in the NO area can't stand Frank Wilson.

Les can walk into any school in New Orleans and have his way..Frank has some pull with O.P. but Les knows what hes up against and will let other LSU commits get to this kid as well.

Like I said earlier. You all think you are gonna get every player that you want every year from La. This post proves just that....
There are at least two kids on that list that will not be at LSU plus the one kid that isn't....
Ok smartass put your money where your big fat mouth is and name them if you are so sure that two on that list won't go to LSU. I don't need any sources or anything just name the two recruits. Granted I'll admit that LSU might not get every recruit on that list but NONE of them are going to rocky top....aint happening chief

If you are implying that Kiffin and UT did not want Maclin then you are mistaken. So don't pretend that this is the case.
And it remains to be seen whether he will play DE or LB...regardless of what category Rivals has him pigeonholed.

I never said Kiffin didn't want or offer Maclin, but this is one in state recruit we can afford to lose. Maclin is a good player, but not as good as Miller, Willis, or Smith.

I've seen Maclin play, and he really isn't anything to write home about. Solid player will probably redshirt and start by his junior or senior year. Corey Miller is a freak he is one that you can say 100% is better than Maclin.

They are ranked in the top 6 with Copeland being the worst DE at 18
