Let's just say the moment we offer someone, it's a done deal

After watching Carter at OSU, I want him here.

QB - Mett, Bridgewater
RB - Ridley, Ford, Ware, Gore, Hilliard, Hill, Blue, Worle
WR - Randle, Shepard, Landry, Carter, Williams, Boone, Wright, Lewis, and possibly even a shot at Dorial Green

We are going to be unstoppable. Just look at the play makers there! I can't think of any other school in the nation with this type of talent lined up. If we get Dana from Ok State, it's going to be scary for us to watch we are going to beat opponents so badly. Wow, this is getting exciting.

Do we need to open up a spot so we can offer Eli? If so, let me know who we're pulling the scholly from and I'll go break the news.

If it is guaranteed we get Bridgewater for taking Eli, I would tell whoever is last on our want list to either grayshirt or take a hike, because Bridgewater is coming to town.

Damn. Oh well. I forgot PP's little brother will be here in '12 as well.

Either way, we are looking quite good for the near future, and landing Bridgewater would only make us even more incredible.

I've also been hearing that OBJ is being more open to playing CB if need be. If so, I think that gives Rogers that WR spot

I haven't been following as closely to our scholly numbers, but how hard would it be to find a scholly to offer Eli? If getting Bridgewater is guaranteed, I feel we can find a scholly somewhere for him.

I honestly don't know much about OBJ's skill set, but I get the feeling he could be another Drayton Calhoun if comes in and becomes a corner.

Drayton was a great RB in hs and just racked up tons of yardage. He came to LSU, got moved to DB, and has been down on the depth chart. Now, he's only a RSFr, so he has plenty of time to improve, and he's a good athlete, but I don't know if he'll see the field anytime soon just based off all the corners we have coming in and playing early. (I'd like to see him on special teams though)

There's a lot of people on here, myself included, that feel Beckham is better suited as a CB. The thing I like the most about Beckham is I think he even sees that we will be weak at CB next year, and I could see him being a Mathieu-type production if he stepped in at CB

Our scholly numbers are starting to get real tight with the number of prospects we are still after.

This is why I dislike the number of offers we hand out at our summer camps. Not trying to discredit the talent of guys like Botts and Ronald Martin, but they are starting to hurt us right now. Looking at Rivals and Martin's offer list, we could have held out on him until late. I understand the rush for Botts with what happened with Wing, but according to Rivals and Scout, we are the only team that showed interest in him

From a depth standpoint, we will be in good shape at corner. Claiborne is returning, as is TM (although I think his role as nicel back/part time blitzer is optimal for his skill set). Ron Brooks will be back I think, and he is solid. Simon should improve as well. And I think we have like 4 corners committed right now (not sure where Turner ends up). Maybe OBJ could come in and be like a Tryann Mathieu, but to be a good defender like TM,it takes a certain mindset that a lot of offensive players from high school don't always have. I've always gotten the impression that OBJ is an offensive guy.

Some players have that mindset before they step on campus, and others don't. Compare Morris Claiborne and Jai Eugene. If I'm not mistaken, both were QBs in high school. Claiborne has come in and contributed early at corner. It took Jai a couple of seasons to acclimate himself to playing defense.

So what are the chances of us finding a scholly for Eli? And do you think Miles would go for a packaged deal to get the big guy? If you can't really comment, I understand.

That's the million dollar question.

Well, actually the million dollar question is "will Teddy or Mett committ to us?" But the next hypothetical question worth a lot of money would be "can we get both?"

I think Teddy knows that we are getting Mett as well, and that he would have the chance to be a full time starter his junior year. Red-shirt next year, be the mobile QB when Mett is starting for the next two, and then it's all on him. If not, he has the mind-set that he could come in and start right away, but if he doesn't, it's not something that will upset him.

I'm not on the inside at LSU, so I don't really get what I know from Miles, but I think he may be waiting to see what the Dwyer trio does as well. Maggitt is the only one that I think we get of the three, even though if the Brissett rumors are true about him being down to UNC and LSU, I like our chances more. What happens with them will dictate whether we go after Teddy
