Brennan did not exit the transfer portal for LSU to stick him riding the pine. plain and simple. Anyone who thinks otherwise is dumb. It's his job to lose and the only way he loses it is if something freakish happens again or he never fully healed.
If anyone thinks this dude is going to come in and just take his job with no health concerns with Brennan you're going to be severely disappointed.

If I recall correctly, and I love Tommy Hodson, a great QB, but as the talent around him declined, so did he. Not like he went to zero, but it did affect his game. Maybe the talent drop off had a negative affect on Daniels, too. ... I love MB but we have only Nuss behind him. A professional coach like Kelly wants the best odds at winning. Brennan/Daniels improves those odds. Competition brings out the best in players.

....oooor Brennan didnt get much attention from programs during the early signing period while he was in the Transfer Portal and decided to stick around for Spring practice after Max left.

Apparently he is just an insurance policy. According to the write up on him he steadily deteriorated from his freshman year.

Are you stupid? He already had a transfer destination. BK is the one who convinced him to stay not the other way around. Some of you are dense.
This guy is depth. He might develop into a starter. You have MB who has injury concerns and Walker Howard is also coming off injury. Nuss is not ready and might not be on the roster next season. This guy is a depth decision that may turn out to be a starter next year.

most other major teams had 7-10 scholly QBs on their rosters.
That’s just not even remotely true. Without checking I’ll say you will be hard pressed to find more than a handful of teams with that number m, if any. 7-10 means they are signing 2 QB’s on scholly every year. And that’s just poor roster management by the math, plain and simple.
If you saw anything remotely close to that, then they are NOT scholly QB’s or it’s some other weird inconsistency.

So he’s gonna have 2 years eligibility?
Seems like Brennan this year, Daniels next year, Howard the year after
