I never felt good about Rasco. To me he is a need for LSU being in the state of LA.

He has always been a Texas fan and the coaching staff at ECA will push him that way.

ECA coaches dont even promote LSU camps.

one of the LSU sites will get a hold of Landry, he'll tell them he's solid but taking some visits. rumors will persist for months until he commits to Bama.

Landry is on the list to be here this weekend. Hopefully we can reassure him.

So the ESPN affiliate is the Auburn guys? Do y'all have any idea how much shite those people put out this year? At one point it was daily for a few weeks. Landry will be in purple and gold next year. Relax guys.

Yes, it would be nice to hear from Jimmy D about this. But some of you need to quit panicking-- it is still early in the recruiting process, and there can be many twists & turns. I feel good about LSU's chances with Landry--he might to take other visits, though.

Kids are going to want to get free visits. Miles needs to chill out with the "once you're committed" crap this year.

you guys are ridiculous. Jarvis has said many times how he loves the Tigers and wants to play for us. I am sure he just wants to take in the whole recruiting experience.

I am not worried about it after the way our coaches have closed in the last 2 years.

But just to fuel the fire for the people who just love to worry. Landry became friends with Trooper Taylor on FB a few days ago.

A couple of our commitments have said they were going to take visits weeks ago.....Not sure why this is a shock to anyone.

What advantage does a recruit like this have by committing this EARLY?

Don't get me wrong, I really want Jarvis Landry at LSU and this has nothing to do with your post about towel man but I've always thought system wise Landry's hs team had a lot of similarities with Auburn. A lot of funky motion, shotgun, runs involving WR's. JL would be perfect for them. Though if he's an LSU fan and wants to rep LA, he needs to go to LSU.

Everyone on this board wants Landry to go to LSU. With that being said, I personally do not have a problem with Landry going to visit other schools. If Landry wants to be a LSU tiger, he will be. If not, I wish him the best but my feeling is that he will end up being a LSU TIGER!

THIS

and they said that long before they committed. I wouldn't sweat Landry or Hill.

Miles keeping Crowton could end up costing him his job if he loses a few of these in-state guys.

You people kill me with posts like this. So and so would be perfect for another team's system. WTF is that? Are you a fan or a fricking plant giving recruits and family members who read this shite doubts about LSU's program? This does nothing but sow seeds of doubt in the mind, perhaps validating the cons against the team you claim to be a fan of.

This has to be one of the dumbest things anyone can post on a recruiting board, when there is even a possibility of dissension. The hard core recruiting hasn't even begun and you give other recruiters ammunition to continue developing a wedge with a high value recruit. Damn!

I wouldn't worry about this too much...

Didn't they say they'll be taking visits awhile ago?

Anyways, you can take the positive from this if he does decide to go elsewhere...it doesn't screw LSU over late and it means we'll be hard on other receivers.

I think Landry is going to start to get deep concerns when LSU picks up two more WR commits. It shouldn't be hard to sell him hes really the only true slot WR we have outside Fobbs(who I don't even think will stay at WR). Don't forget LSU has probably had more success at placing WRs at high picks in the NFL than other college the past 8 years. That is something they can tell Landry and prove it. It doesn't matter if Saban is here or not...under Miles several WRs have went to the draft. Two first round picks with a possible third in Lafell, Doucet and Byrd were drafted too. LSU always has great WRs.

Sylve and Landry are the two biggest needs at WR right now...especially Sylve being the deep threat.

This is what makes no sense to me. Recruiting will not cost you your job as a coach. Wins and losses does and I have a feeling that we will have a good year, not a NC year, but a good year. How many top recruits have left the state of Texas and Florida and you do not see Urban Meyer or Mack Brown's job in jeopardy because of that.
