It will be absolutely hillarious to watch Saban burn the old boys network of Alabama to the ground as AD. He better win 10 a year for life, or that will be a disaster, because Mr. Personality will piss on every money man that thinks he should get his name on a brick somewhere. Just ask your CBs how well Saban negotiates.

Not surprised, FWIW.

They don't teach these "people" skills at the trailer park.

No freaking away Sabin would stay in Bama as an AD. Book it. He's barely cutting it as a coach. 3 more years and he is out.

Let's not get too excited, now. 12-2 is nothing to sneeze at, even if Bama landed with a thud.

its called seniors at key positions and an easy schedule. Bama wins 9 games tops next year...not nearly enough to keep the gumps happy!

Oh, I agree 12-2 is excellent. Sabin is 4-6 in bowl games so the bowl loss is no a huge deal. I'm not saying Sabin will fail in Bama. I'm only saying that he's not wild about the fans' and/or bama's football culture.

Plus, he's a program builder not a sustainer.

That makes more sense. I would certainly agree about the program builder part. I think that's why he usually moves on after a short period time. On to the next challenge. We'll see if this time is different.

FWIW, I don't think Saban will move on but for a few choice jobs. I think he would bail for USC, Florida, or Texas. USC is the only one I could see opening up any time soon unless Meyer decides to take it to the league.

I hate to be that guy but, Governor said LSU went over 20 years without winning the SEC. They won it in 1988 and then again in 2001. How many years between SEC titles would you say that is exactly?
