Is LSU interested in him?

I'm pretty sure they are actively recruiting him, but I'm also pretty sure he has genuine interest in Texas Tech, I don't think his recruitment is very close to being over.

yes, they are recruiting him as the compliment to reed.
whoever commits first between jarrett fobbs and james wright will be the last wide receiver in our class along with reed.

Fobbs committed to Texas A&M about 2 weeks ago...
Tech picked up 2 WRs out of Florida, which supposedly filled up our allotted scholarships for the WR position. However, I have been told that Wright is such a good player that we would find a way to include him.
I don't see him leaving the state of Louisiana though.

but LSU is still recruiting Fobbs, except now it's as a WR instead of DB which he was offered at before.
As far as how good Wright is, he looks really good with the ball in his hands but the only routes he ran on his highlights were Go's and bubble screens, so it's kind of tough to evaluate.

quote:And when he committed he was upset with LSU because we wouldn't give him an offer as a wide receiver. McCarthy and Miles have since re-opened his recruitment as a wide receiver.

Ahh, didn't know that about Fobbs. I hope y'all steal him back.

It will be interesting to see if Wright takes his recruitment for a little ride. He seems to be blowing up somewhat with LSU actively pursuing him now, Texas Tech still going for him, and apparently Alabama now showing him some attention.

Is that just conjecture on your part, or did you get that from somewhere?
Just curious.

He might be able to high jump on the track team as well.

I follow recruiting, and I don't know why but I find the Reed/Wright/Fobb recruiting saga interesting. Hope we can nab two of these guys.

Yes, but I think LSU will be recruiting for 2011 by the time Wright is ready to announce.
