How are players still entering the transfer portal when I thought it closed on Tuesday (1/2)?

Stays open till Saturday for teams who played later bowl games

Yep. Open until 1/6, for teams who played a bowl on 1/1, will be open until 1/13 for Michigan and Washington players.
When Does the Transfer Portal Close?
ETA those are the cut off dates for paperwork to be submitted, so you may technically see players appearing in the portal after those dates, once their paperwork is processed.
