I don't like the "Limping to the Finish Line" appearance. Finishing with the third best class is nice, except that the top two might be in our Division.

At least wait until it's over for that weak proclamation...

Without reading this board any LSU fan would be elated by where we stand and who LSU has gotten commits from.

Come here and you would think we are Tulane.

Very sad.

I think this disease of negativity has even spread to the sunshine pumpers.

I think we have a class of recruits here that will change this black fog effect and make fans, even bandwagon fans, excited again.

All in for LSU.

Like I've said before, there is always a decent chance LSU picks up a nice commit late on NSD or days *after* NSD. That's the way things are shaping up, so I won't be surprised if it happens.

I didn't "Proclaim"anything, I said appearance, mostly from the clowns freaking out on this board. It's a very good class, the best in a few years.

My predictions:

Dupre
Valentine
Kelly
Gage
Then throw in a couple of wildcards in Porter and Canty

gage can't have a commitable offer or he would be all over it after waiting since the summer. we are not limping to the finish. we are in a great position to get dupre (5*), valentine (top 50), young (top 100 on rival), kelley (4* coveted left tackle), porter and trey who fit needs. if we get a player of young caliber or higher as the 7th player then we will have a great finish by any measure. it really doesn't matter how class in ranked. neither auburn or fla. state had consistently high ranked classes, nor did nd the prior year.

I think I recall the name now, but he hasn't been discussed here in a long time.

What makes you think that LSU will offer?

MrWiseGuy is the one claiming that about Canty, not me. Wasn't on my radar at all.

Yeah. I know. I should have specified who my question was directed to.

According to Eric Randall who told me they did offer Canty - this was about a month and a half ago.

Canty had a visit planned to LSU for this weekend, but cancelled it once he committed to La Tech.

I just find it hard to believe a kid will choose Tech over LSU over a position discrepancy.

Here's a link to the thread where I initially informed the board about Canty and LSU's interest in him as a FB.

Thanks. That makes sense now. Do you know if MSU was willing to take him as a DT, or have they held off for similar reasons?

He probably thinks Tech will let him play the more familiar spot along the DL. More glamorous than playing fullback. But, he looks like a real project at DT. I'm guessing he doesn't have the speed at 260 lbs to play at DE. Would need a lot of development to play inside in the SEC at DT.

Looks like he might be visiting this week

He is 260 lbs of muscle. He'd make a killer FB.

According to Tech, he cancelled the visit.

Dupre
Valentine
Kelly
LMFAO
Porter

That's who I feel confident in, as in I think we have at least a 51% shot with those guys. I think we will lose Clark. OU will get last shot at him with in-home visit and his mom still really wants him at OU.

Biggest chance for a surprise I think may be Carter.

I am more confident in getting him now...sounds like had a boring visit to Oregon...I think him having family in BR will be important as well.
