Why wasn't LSU making the full court press for Adams before Hootie Comitted to Alabama?

You tell me...Obviously there's more going on than you know with both those recruits.
In the end the truth will be known and I bet it's not what you think it is....

I can't figure out sometimes by some of your posts if you are really an LSU fan.....

You're insane if you think Battle would be offered a greyshirt. No chance that happens.

How do you know he's doing any of the things you stated?

He's not going to offer up a public apology, he doesn't owe it to anyone. He chose Alabama because he felt more comfortable about being there. It's a game, and the coaches understand that. They've slowed on kids late in the process too.

If he doesn't come to LSU, it has nothing to do with how he handled the process..it's just bad timing or he really didn't want to go to LSU

Verm, I mean no disrespect to you, but this isn't correct. In fact, he's handling things the wrong way right this minute. If HE would call the LSU staff and let them know he wants in, things may could work. (I actually think they will eventually)

But instead, he's resorted to allowing others to handle it for him. It won't work.

I think he's a great prospect and want him at LSU. But as a father of two boys, I think he's a little embarrassed at how things went down, (although I think it's overblown about him "dissing" LSU), and eventually he'll man up and own it instead of letting others handle it for him.

See, this part I agree with. He doesn't need to apologize, but he does have to handle it himself. HE needs to let the coaches know he wants to be a Tiger.

That's because you don't know how he's handling things. Re-read my post.

He has contacted them either right before or right after he changed his mind with bama

Lots and lots of conflicting reports

I'll stick to my thoughts that Adams is priority #1, and Hootie won't be a Tiger

I understand fans blow "statements" out of proportion but this isn't the fans, its the staff. Now I don't agree with the stance on Hootie as it has been told to stand right now but the staff has some hard feelings and Hootie isn't a take for us currently so the fans have every right to blow the statements up because the staff is. The staffs stance, or at least how its been made public to be, is perpetuating the fans blowing it out of proportion. If the staff feels out of the way about them then the fans are gonna follow that lead. In closing, it doesn't matter thst we are making too much of the statements, it matters that the staff is and as far as what is known publically, they are. This is on the staff not the fans.

This is not a criticism of the staff. Just pointing out that calling out fans for making too much of the statements is wrong since its the staff perpetuating it, at least from what the fans are being told. If the staff feels like they are taking the correct approach to Hootie not being a take then, while I don't agree with the stance, I do accept it and have no real issue with it

where the hell are all of you getting this from? Have any of you talked to the staff personally? What everyone has been doing in regards to this whole situation is taking stuff theyve heard on the radio and on this website as fact. How do you have any clue what the staff is thinking? Im sorry but the staff isnt turned off of someone they've been recruiting for multiple years and is a top talent in state because of Pride. That's just ridiculous and a childish mindset. Hootie was a take 3 weeks ago, I very highly doubt that has changed.

ETA: and to say the way the staff is handling it is making the fans get emotional is just stupid as well. Its literally been 2 days. What was the staff supposed to have done in this time? Hootie said himself he wanted time to think which means hes not sure where he wants to land just yet.

Look, wrong might not be the best word to use, but if you don't think that he burned our coaches asses by saying it's THEIR fault he chose Bama, then I just lost respect for you.

He does not have to apologize for choosing a school, but he damn well better apologize (in private) or those same coaches will continue to look elsewhere. They spent years making this guy feel special and he has been to LSU's campus probably over 20 times, and then his family comes out and says LSU didn't treat his mom the way Bama did? WTF, she only went ONCE to Bama, of course they gave it the full court press for 2 hours.

Think however you want to think, CS was bait, CR took the bait and followed, and Hootie fell in line and now regrets it after the fun smoke cleared.

All actions done to LSU weren't his, but they were done using his name and only HE can fix that, IMO

He's done nothing wrong. Let the kid do his thing. He is a great player and a great person. Any school that gets him will be more than pleased.

Adams should come to lsu since joker will not be around his entire career.

I would love to get them both but something tells me we get one and not the one everyone thinks.

^^ see this line of thinking is so retarded to me. The coaching staff of LSU is full of grown men. They most likely could give two shits about what Hootie said. They aren't too prideful to take one of the states top players if he doesn't "apologize." That is such a childish way to think.
