Is it because there are only a few high profile players in this years class? or just one of the leaner years in louisiana recruiting. So the next few months LSU will only be recruiting like 5 or 6 guys? i know they will be recruiting more but it seems they have already pinpointed the ones they want. So i signing day will be for 3 or 4 guys?

Yes. I can remember when you used to have to read the newspaper, as in the actual Sunday paper, in order to get recruiting news, and it was scarce.

Except most of us know not to get excited about high profile recruits while overlooking everyone else because we won't know how they will pan out at the college level.

I for one am damn excited about each recruit that ends up at LSU and will root for each to succeed.

I wouldn't say boring. Maybe less appealing, BUT you have to see the big picture.
When you go to build a 5000 sq.ft. house, a grey slab of concrete is not very appealing. BUT come back a year later and you see a beautiful home. Getting these big guys on the front lines is a very good thing.
