I’ve followed recruiting pretty close and you can tell what team will come up in the next few years normally. Georgia is recruiting on Bama level is seems the last 2 years.

Yep. Got a five star QB to commit with a true freshman starting at the position.

Meanwhile in Baton Rouge....

Ole Miss was never that good. It was like 3 5* and then the rest low 3*

Kids just didn’t start liking Georgia, always suspect when they go from so-so to top class.

You can't be comparing ole miss and Georgia classes?

Ole miss had like 3 blue chip players they paid to come. Georgia had a stacked recruiting class from top to bottom

Georgia has always recruited like this. They have just always underperformed.

3, 6, 6, 8, 12

Those are UGAs recruiting rankings for the past 5 years. To say they went from so so to one of the top classes is just ignorant. UGA has done well the past several years.

ETA: 9, 7, 11, 4, 7 are the classes from the 5 years prior to those. Just wanted to check it out myself.

The state of Georgia produces a ton of talent. It's bigger than LA in population and not far behind per capita relative to NFL guys. Just a matter of getting them to stay home, which Kirby seems to be doing. If he can coach and the recruits pan out, they could be pretty good.

Kirby inherited a full cubbard, and is enhancing it with new energy and success this year. Focus #1, keep instate 4 and 5 stars of which GA is loaded with talent. Metro Atlanta alone has 2 million more people than the state of Louisiana.
