Coach, My only quam is that he’s 6’5” and squats down to 6’ on his release......... I know this can be corrected, but he needs to use his size to his advantage. Absolutely no QB coach here, but as a bystander it stands out.

When the hell did this board get so many QB experts? I have not once seen so many people give their two cents about the mechanics of the QB position. Why haven't some of these people applied for QB coach at LSU these past few years? We sure could have used it.

Definitely not a QB guy but I see something with TJ Finley. I'm a defensive guy and Adam Chaney is a kid I have high expectations of.

You really dont have to be some expert to see why there are questions of his wide stance. It's simple geometry that the wider he spreads his feet and bends his knees, the lower the release point is (and his eyes).
An expert is needed to fix it...but not to simply see it.

If Quad gets offered in the next day or 2 Jayson Jones is going to commit to LSU. They want to go to the same place if possible.

Yea. Jaysons parents really enjoyed the visit and the food etc. Jayson was impressed by the traditions. Took home 4 pounds of crawfish lol. Wants to go where Quad is if it’s a good fit. And that’s a bigger bargaining chip than you may realize when it comes to LSU beating Bama for Jayson.

Good strategy to get Quad an offer, but Jones seems to be all Bama/UGA which you have said yourself.

Just reading this thing from a distance, seems like they view him as an insurance policy, someone they may offer late in the cycle if they miss out on everyone else.
If he has a legit offer to play for Lane Kiffin I might seriously consider that if I were him. Go put up big numbers in his offense.

Being completely honest, even with the promise of landing Jones, I will be surprised if we offer. I won't 100% say we won't offer, but from what I've heard, his showing at camp yesterday didn't do him many favors. Don't get me wrong, I think Quad is a great kid, has some talent, and will do well at a smaller school, but I just don't think that school will be LSU.

What are you hearing the likely scenario is for the 2019 class in regards to QB? I am pretty sure Gunnell is out of it. I've heard some rumblings of Michael Johnson Jr but that seems like a long shot as well.

Johnson Jr isn't a guy that they are just super high on. He did not look very good last year at all. Now, that could change if he'd come camp and throw and have a good senior season. They really like Free the Juco QB from Vandy, and they also are still wanting to get Baldwin to campus from IMG. I think those 2 are the two most mentioned names, and there are some other guys coming onto the radar at the moment, but none with any really big offers, so no need to press at the moment.
