Ran a 10.18 in Tejas Relays. We should be on this kid, 6' 3" & 180 and can flat-out fly...

He plays everything and is being primarily recruited as a WR.

We should offer him a dual for football & track...

He's a 4-star wide receiver on all the recruiting services. Right now On3 has his preferred schools as Utah and Boise State, but both under 20% in their predictions. Nebraska and UCLA are behind those two schhols.

But...how difficult would it be to get a kid from Idaho to got to school in Baton Rouge? Quite a challenge, I would imagine.

And in case anyone thinks he's just a fast guy who has offers from non-powerhouses, he has offers from Texas, Georgia, Michigan, Florida, A&M, Arkansas and others.

Been a lot of articles regarding him lately, one in particular based on that time and beating the Harbor kid(TE) from last cycle. Setting the stage for his rankings rise(which may or may not be deserved I haven't watched film or anything) based on that speed and the specific comparison to Harbor.
One issue I have with it. He beat Harbor in a race, which is fine, but declaring a 180lb kid a freak of the nature of a kid 50 pounds heavier with comparable speed as justification for a rankings rise is horseshite. Bair is a better football player according to those that make those assumptions and my issue isnt with him receiving a bump that he may deserve. The issue is the comparison justifying it. One is a wr with elite speed(fairly common), one is a TE/DE with comparable elite speed and 50 additional lbs.(generationally common;in fact i believe he was reported to be the fastest TE ever scouted by such services). It's lazy scouting and grasping for justification when it really is as simple as saying the kid is elite fast and a good wr with good size. These "scouting" services should be headed by a "for entertainment purposes only" disclaimer.
Please excuse me for climbing on my soapbox. I'll climb down now.

I think you're reading a little too much into that. Harbor is already one of the freakiest athletes in modern sports history, so people are aware of how good his 100m ability is, in spite of his size. But they already know he's an elite track athlete that has Olympics/professional aspirations.

Also, 10.18 itself is extremely fast. His time is currently #2 nationally this season. So it's still very impressive.

Side note: his name sounds like an auto-generated white track athlete name.

Give that kid a crawfish boiled potato and he'll be hooked.

Harbor lost a track race to someone who is fifty pounds lighter. Sounds like Mr Track needs to lose some weight if he wants to run. If he wants to be almost as fast at fifty pounds, he should start liking contact a little more.
