He has 1 three star tight end commited to UT thats it. Orgeron is getting all of the wide recievers. This guy is a total joke. If Miles wants anthony johnson he needs to send his DL coach not a Wr coach.

I think hes a overrated recruiter too. Certainly nowhere near the level of Porter. But you gotta establish yourself somewhere. And from the coaching circle, apparently Tenn goes to him as their closer and they like the way he handles it. Just because Rivals says he has one 3 star, doesn't mean he wasn't responsible for other major commits. Wilson is fairly new to the CFB game too, so he can only get better.

With all that being said, do not want him on LSU's staff. We can do better.

I think despite him being a somewhat overrated recruiter...he can still help lockdown Louisiana. Its much easier for him to recruit to LSU than a program like Tenn. A Louisiana player that is. His personality should be likable since hes from this area...so it can only help with Louisiana prospects. He does have some ties out of state too, which can't hurt. Still not impressed with his recruiting ability and I definitely don't like his character.

Said it once and I'll say it again, replacing Porter is major. We can do better than Wilson, IMO.

If other coaches are gone, Miles better find some really good recruiters because DJ/Porter is going to put a big hole. Its not like he put guys on the defensive staff that are lights out recruiters last year.

I think you all need to realize that Rivals arbitrarily assigns lead recruiters to prospects. Just because Wilson has arbitrarily only been assigned to a 3 star tight end does not mean that he is not involved in recruiting others.

You had to be under a rock or something. coach wilson recruited most of the top players at ole miss. To name just a few, BenJarvus Green-Ellis-2 year 1000 yard rusher in NFL, Mike Wallace in NFL, Kentrell Lockett-starting DE, Kendrick Lewis-starting safty, Patrick Trahan-starting LB, Marshay Green-starting WR, Lionel Breaux-starting WR and Brandon Bolden-starting RB. The one thing these players have in common is that, coach wilson recruited all of them from Louisiana. Not to mention recruiting Janzen Jackson to Tennessee and almost had Joe McKnight to ole miss. Is this someone that suck at recruiting?

This guy makes sense, in my opinion. A Louisiana guy that obviusly helped tremendously improve Tennessee's skill guys. At LSU, all he has to do is coach the guys, get them all on one page, and sell LSU as a school and he will recruit very well.
