Yeah I think they told Henderson: "No more room dude, take a hike".

we have recruited very well on the defensive side of the ball lately as well as on the oline
where we need to see some development is out of the wr position..for whatever reason gonzalez could not seem to get some of our young guys on the field...im curious to see how the addition of our new WR coach affects production come aug

La'El Collins Offensive Tackle (9/28/09) - Redemptorist H.S. (LA)
Jeremy Hill Running Back (9/28/09) - Redemptorist H.S. (LA)
Anthony Johnson Defensive Tackle (12/18/09) - O. Perry Walker H.S. (LA)
Corey White Offensive Tackle (12/18/09) - Capitol Senior H.S. (LA)
Kenny Hilliard Running Back (12/19/09) - Patterson H.S. (LA)
Jarvis Landry Wide Receiver (1/9/10) - Lutcher H.S. (LA)
Terrance Magee Athlete (1/13/10) - Franklinton H.S. (LA)
Already verbally committed.....and 3 of these should be 5 star

I think we end up with...
Lemay or Bridgewater
Mike Bellamy
Kelvin Benjamin
James Wilder Jr.
Timmy Jernigan
etc
We'll have a solid class next year as well.

I think it's safe to say UF has the SEC east on lockdown for the next 4 or 5 years. This class is just sick.

They offered Baxter at QB and it's looking like he'll end up in Gainesville
Not a chance in hell he'll play QB for them.
To me that reeks of 2 things:
1) Trying to sell Baxter on whatever to get him on campus (The Russell Shepard).
2) Trying not to scare off Mack Brown by actively saying you are using him somewhere else (The USC RB).
Baxter told Oregon peeps he wants to commit to UF on his visit there FWIW. I'd expect him to be a Gator next weekend...

A little birdie told me.
UF friend told me. I think it may have been something relayed from the Oregon boards. Could be bullshite.. but maybe not
FWIW, about a week ago a USC poster said Baxter to UF was all but a done deal... Baxter only committed to USC for Carroll.

Whats the big deal so they have a few 5 stars...they have like 3 3 star players also!!!
Pretty pathetic if you ask me for such a "big time program"

As a Gator fan I am more than impressed with this thread and the contributors to it. It has been my experience when "visiting" opponents messageboards that every recruit Florida gets is a loser and every recruit they get is a 5 star All-American.
Then again maybe I should expand my visits to opponents boards beyond FSU and Tennessee. ; )
On the subject of QB recruit Trey Burton and his "ranking" I am reminded that Heisman Trophy Winner Mark Ingram was a 3 star athlete ranked #58 amongst running backs. ; )
Burton is the real deal. He is a superior athlete with a cannon arm, real football smarts and the ability to make a play. He is a little raw but we have 2 years and Scot Loeffler (Tom Brady's college QB coach) to get him ready. The coaches thought Burton was the real deal when he first camped at Florida and they pursued him relentlessly even passing up higher rated prep QBs to get him.
A popular line of thought in Gator Country is to "trust the coaches". When it comes to Burton I do trust the coaches and I don't think they expended all the effort they did to recruit a back-up.
Thanks for having me as a guest and Geaux Tigers!
Except against the Gators, of course. ; )
