ESPN recruiting rankings versus everyone else

Its all part of ESPN's partnership with the Under Armour All America game. Since the game is broadcasted on ESPN and they use ESPN's rankings, they want their talent to be ranked as high as possible. Most all of the (Formally Army) all American game talent is ranked below the UA talent on ESPN's board. This allows ESPN to say they have the #1 ranked position player on their broadcast when realistically they don't. Think D. Stingley Jr., he was ranked in the mid twenties on ESPN and was set to play in San Antonio. It makes perfect sense

i understand the subjectivity of recruiting, but espn has always been seemingly disconnected from all other databases. not surprising if you think about the network itself. theyre always trying to be different, make a splash and move the needle. evaluating human potential is a crap shoot.
that being said, F espn anyway. I hate their network and their shtick. this is a revruiting base that had Bradley Sylvie ranked ahead of juice landry. why? he was fast in the 40 and committed early to bama. nuff said.
