If I am a highly touted pass catching TE, I would not go to LSU as long as Les Miles is head coach.
We just don't use the TE in the passing game. Even Dickson managed only 324 yards during our championship season. And that was only because we hired Crowton, who has a lot of imagination in scheming an offense.
DeAngelo Peterson should have killed it at LSU, yet he had hardly any career at all. Mike Mayock listing Peterson as the 4th best TE in this year's draft caps off what everybody knew, that he is an extremely good talent never haven been used at LSU.

He's enjoying the process. He's all LSU!
Now that we will have a qb the TE will be in the offense more.

So everyone on LSU's staff has to be one of the best recruiters in the country? Just to refresh everyone's memory Steve Ensminger was an outstanding QB for LSU in the late 70's. He was also offensive coordinator at Texas A&M and has been around the SEC a long time. He knows football and has a ton of experience in coaching. All I hear about is his lack of being able to pull in the top talent in La. and beyond at tight end - the one position LSU has never historically used well. If Ensminger was hired strictly to bring in the best tight end talent in the country then I agree with all the negativity. However, there's more to being on one of the best coaching staffs in the country than recruiting. I see him on the sidelines at every LSU game. He obviously brings more to the table than what's being written. Geaux Tigers!

Steve Ensminger was an asst coach at a HS. When LM hired him. Nobody wanted him but LM. Cannot recruit or develop TEs. Needs to be fired
