This was easier to argue when there was no NIL. Players couldn't get paid (wink, wink) unless they made it to the NFL. The reality is that the vast majority will not, no matter how supremely talented they seem coming out of HS. If you can get a bucket of cash now, right of HS, you should. If your talent is there, the NFL will find you. Plus, you can always transfers out too.

Take the guaranteed cash. There's no promise of NFL riches unless you're the top 1%.
