So it looks like Ego Ferguson and Fre'Shad Hunter are both going to be officially visiting this fall. And based on their comments it sounds like they both have legit interest in LSU.
If LSU lands one of those two, then I'm not sure how anyone can complain about Haley's recruiting this year.

What if we don't land either and come up with another unknown like Dexter? How would you feel?

Won't really care if we land anyone else or not. Truthfully, all I care is whether he lands Freak Johnson and Rasco, bc those two both are probably better than Ego IMO.
It's pretty clear they didn't think DT was a huge priority in that class considering they passed on guys like Byran Jones.

LSU is already making up ground. If we have a couple great years on the field, I think we get him considering just about every other top prospect in LA will be coming here, and that will be a lot of pressure on him. Plus, Tenn will likely suck both years.

I don't think this reasoning at any position is good to have. The whole "I wouldn't mind as long as we get so and so next year". You really need to keep stockpiling good talent each year no matter who maybbe available. JMO

Well, I've changed my mind in the last half an hour. If Corley is really transferring, then I hope we land one of Ego/Hunter.

I think this year shows, you can never really stockpile enough talent at the DL. Especially with the tendency to switch DE's to DT, and defensive line to o-line.

Just watched some Ego video. I hope we get that guy, he's a stud. Hunter is pretty good, but he's a few years away and not at the level of Ego. Hunter is no better than guys like J Allen, M Brockers, or even B Logan, IMO.
It would be great to throw Ego in the mix with Davenport, Downs, Edwards, Montgomery, etc. That dude is a force.

Who would you go for, a more athletic potential star like Ego, or a run stuffer like Byran Jones?
We don't seem to be recruiting as much size up front as we used to, but IMO that is a welcome change. Chuck Hunter though next year is a pure run stuffer, and Anthony Johnson can do it all.
I do agree, I'd like to sign one more DT, out of the two I mentioned above.

Ferguson would probably be a DT if he came to Baton Rouge ..dude is a player
Hunter is def not a DT candidate ...he is all DE and just looks ok to me
I think we'll be fine at DE...we need some DTs though ..Fergie would be a good pick up

We are loaded with young DEs so I wouldn't expect much there this year. Hopefully next.
