like mike goodson a few years ago?
Goodson had a lot better offer sheet than CM did...not even close really

but there's a guy by the name of Michael Ford in this class that may be every bit as good
ford is better
but they're 2 different types of backs

It's not like we're running low on RBs any time soon.
after this year, we will be without pratt/michael coming this year
ridley, ford, and (possibly) lache for 2010. that's scary
and don't bring up murphy. he has pretty much never shown that he's a football player in his 3 years at LSU

not after he played games
michael would have gotten a UT offer, but he didn't want to go to UT
LSU did have interest and did recruit him, just never gave him a real offer
i don't know what the deal is with OU. had michael been a "Texas man," he'd be signing with them in feb

they do this to hundreds of kids...CM was a local RB getting some publicity and was very interested in LSU, so yeah it is obvious he would get a good look..what's your point?
Goodson was pursued heavily and offered by LSU, Miami, USC, etc... CM, not so much

you must have missed his quickness down the field and great play as a special teamer a couple of seasons back
to say he's a bad "player" isn't accurate... misutilized maybe?? ..sure. The kid is an athlete.

he's never shown, on the field in a real game, that he's a good runner

THere's been talk that Drayton Calhoun may play RB.

*ETA: when i said "football player," i mean as a running back playing running back, because he does look very athletic

you said he wasn't a good player in his 3 years at LSU

i'm wondering if john williams ever makes the move to RB as a speedster if calhoun doesn't get moved

i said he's never shown to be a football player in a post discussing our running backs
i figured context would be enough to figure out what the comment was about, but you need more

ive always wondered why williams doesn't get moved to a harvin type role. a little rb and slot receiver.

crowton's still learning how to run a spread option and pro-style offense (from jimbo's playbook), so i guess we can't overload him by being that innovative. i'm still waiting on a wildcat formation

We have 1000 young corners, so no reason not to let Calhoun play RB
