First off DW is not decommitting from Arkansas! If he was why would you think he would come to Ole Piss. Especially since Tracy Rocker is going to Auburn. If he were going anywhere I'd say he would probably follow the coach to SC. I don't think that will happen either. As far as HDN goes, I know you guys are happy this year, b/c you guys had a 9 game win season. This is simply because HDN was playing with Orgeron's players. HDN hasn't started recruiting. It will get worse.
Lets just hope you guys don't take as long as we did.

How do I figure? I'll tell you how I figure.

Returning starters:
QB: Jevan Snead (the only experienced QB in the SEC West)

RB: All of 'em (Eason, McCluster, Bolden, Davis, Davis)

WR: Lose Mike Wallace but return Shay Hodge, Lionel Breaux, Markeith Summers. Probably add Pat Patterson to that list. McCluster playing slot as well

TE: Gerald Harris returns

OL: Lose Oher and Mo Miller. The biggest question marks on the team. Return 3 of the 5 starters though

DL: Lose Peria. Possibly Greg Hardy but we don't know yet. Regardless, our front 4 will be deadly once again. Marcus Tillman, Lawon Scott, Ted Laurent, and Kentrell Lockett as our front 4 will be among the SEC's best again. All four were a huge part of our success this past season. Overshadowed by Peria but the entire line was unstoppable at season's end

LB: Lose Fein and Palmer but will have Trahan, Allen Walker, and Jonathan Cornell back. We will have studs at LB

DB: A year under their belts. We lose only Jamarca Sanford but Johnny Brown, Kendrick Lewis, Marshay Green, and Cassius Vaughn will be some of the most experienced in the SEC. I have no doubt that our pass defense will be MUCH MUCH better than what we saw early in 08

Special Teams: Joshua Shene will a senior and arguably one of the SEC's best place kickers. We have committed Andrew Ritter as a kicker. He will likely kick off during the year and become place kicker when Shene graduates. I believe he averaged about 75 yards per kickoff while in high school. Add several months of college weight room to that leg, and I'm confident he'll be a touchback machine.

Sound good to you? You may not agree that we'll be as good as we were but we're easily one of the most experienced, proven teams in the SEC right now. You may disagree but it's not like it's just the Ole Miss fans are the only ones saying this. Not to mention, we currently have three easy non conference games scheduled (one unscheduled). We also get LSU, Bama, Arkansas, and Tennessee at home. We play South Carolina, Vandy, State, and Auburn on the rodad. We have a favorable 2009 schedule

You have your opinions. I have mine. We'll see what happens this fall.

we have

QB jefferson/lee/shepard

RB scott*/williams/murphy/holliday/ford

OL black/helms/barksdale

wr lafell/tolliver/michells/patterson/chris mitchell/randle*

DL nevis/alem/woods/hicks/coreley/argaheye/levingston/downs/davenport

lb shepard/ridley/baker/cutrera/minter

CB phelon/hawkings/peterson/jai

safety coleman/jones/mccray/francois

ath brooks/pratt/williams/shepard

Scout.com: Arkansas is 21st and about to receive a decommitment from their sole 5 star recruit. Ole Miss is 29th and all signs point to Ole Miss finishing strong and receiving possible commitments from Raymond Cotton, Pat Patterson, Marlon Brown, Kendrick Hardy, Tig Barksdale, Bobby Massie, and Lamar Scruggs. Arkansas' class won't touch our class.

But by all means, I would much rather you think we are on our way to bottom of the barrel. Will make the win against you in Oxford that much sweeter.

Me too Reb...When is this happening?

Hey PharmacyReb...How about you put your money where your mouth is?

What's the bet that that OM finishes higher than Arky?

Ole Piss just lost a 4* rb to Auburn. They are 50 in recruiting and we're 18 as of today. Oh yeah Nutt is so much better of a recruiter than BP......

Tig Barksdale

He has to graduate from JUCO before he can go to any D1 school.

And last thing i heard about him was he has Southern Miss over OM.

Just read through some of the replies. I could cut through the ignorance with a knife.

By the way, Tig Barksdale isn't at a JUCO. He's at Hargrave. I know LSU fans don't have the 411 on a lot of things, but Hargrave is not a JUCO.

Suga, I'll place a wager on Ole Miss kicking Arky's arse in Oxford this season. Would you like to wager or is it just your style to stomp around all cocky-like on a message board because you're nothing but an internet blowhard? I'll assume the latter

I would hope so. I would be pissed if I was an ole miss fan with all that talent losing to arkansas.

I'm still waiting on DW to decommit.

Ok, so Darius will sign with Arkansas. Pat yourselves on the back. A real blue-chipper, no doubt.

When we beat you by 3 TD's in VHS this fall, I hope the fact that Darius Winston will witness it makes you feel warm inside

I see you've already stuck your foot in your mouth with your BS about your highly touted recruits OM will sign in the next 20 days or so...Way to try crawfish yourself out of it...But yeah I'll take your bet and your money come the Fall

Just so you guys know, Pharm posted this on the sec rant.

quote:

think we'll end up with 12 of those 16 listed. And many listed are not 2 and 3* players. But the ones that he has are incredibly underrated. And I don't care what anyone says, we have really really good talent coming in.

Nutt dominated Les. Nutt dominates State (has he ever lost to them?). I'm confident Nutt will continue to dominate Bobby Petrino. Bobby had a struggle in beating top 25 teams when he was at Louisville. Note to Bobby... this ain't the Big East. I'm confident Auburn will be back in 3 or 4 years after Chizik gets canned.

It's going to be Bama and Ole Miss competing for the West for the next 2 to 3 seasons. Les is too much of a choke machine. The 2 loss national championship was about as fluked out as it gets. The dumb arse last second pass against Auburn last season was very Orgeron-like. I expect him to make worse decisions and under achieve with superior talent. This guy is beginning to make me think DiNardo may be a better LSU Coach.

Suga, you are just as ignorantly confident as I would expect most Arkansas fans to be.

If this were 2006 and Ole Miss had just finished 4-8 (as they did), I wouldn't be so confident to assume that Ole Miss would be better than an Arkansas team that had gone to the Cap One Bowl.

What kind of chronic do they grow out there in the hills? Please, I need to have some

Hey Reb, I have 20.00 bucks that says you guys are not going to beat us by 3 touchdowns next year. You guys had a better team than us this past year and you guys barely beat us. This year we'll be better.
