Who thought we were going to get this guy? I would put it at 10% at the most.

I was just thinking that I'm 37 years old and all my life my Dad and I have enjoyed going up to Starkvegas every other year and watching LSU put a whooping on the bulldawgs. My uncle is a chemistry Prof up there and it really gets his hide when we show up in our P&G... but he keeps hosting.

I'm not sure that he dominated Robinson, but it was said that he pushed him back at times.

Another FWIW. I saw Mississippi's top RB and LSU recruit Nick Parker from South Panola this past friday, and was not very impressed in him at all. He got hit hard a couple of times and even fumbled, he was held to under 100 yds and only scored 1 TD which was with under 5 minutes to go in the game to make it 38-0. Im not sure if he is SEC feature back caliber.

That does not sound good for Nick. LSU put Storm Johnson on the back burner and then flat out rejected his attempt to commit. I don't think we are recruiting Parker hard right now after Brandon Worle recently committed and in light of the recent "Storm" developments. I guess Parker stays in state if someone wants him?

Everyone seems to think that LSU will wait on Seastrunk now for our last RB. With two great RB prospects in LA for 2011, I doubt LSU keeps the offer open to Parker after your assessment. The LSU coaches have got to know at least what you relayed. Thanks for the update and analysis on Parker. I'll remember it.

By the way, my immediate supervisor is a MSU alum and the owner of the company is a UF alum. Through in some UT, TX A&M, and TX Tech alums and our football conversations get interesting!

Did you actually read that thread? Need some reading comprehension help? The only references to his high interest in LSU came from bama fans, and that was only referred to twice

If this is true, maybe Mississippi State might have an outside shot at Robinson.
If he came to State he would be a 4 year starter guarenteed.

If Robinson doesn't pick Bama, I think it comes down to UTenn, MSU, and Ole Miss comes in the picture if they have a good year and Robinson delays his decision to post November 09.

Then I like MSU's chances as average(provided Ole Miss has good season). If Robinson commits before December and does not pick Bama, I really like MSU chances. If Ole Miss sucks this year, and Robinson does not choose Bama, I think Robinson chooses MSU!

Here's the Nick Parker highlights from Friday Night, and there aren't many. He has a little clip about the last 2:00 of this video. It shows every one of his runs.

I read all three pages and you commented about 3 or 4 times.

To sum up: not one LSU Fan said LSU was Robinson's favorite. One LSU fan quoted a rumor from a "Bama" fan that said it was between LSU and Bama. (nobody took that guy serious or takes rumors from Bama fans as serious on this board) No one gave any percentage chance of Robinson committing to LSU. Everyone said LSU would like to get Robinson and most doubted our "ability to land him".

I even said in this thread its between UTenn. MSU, and Bama. Ole Miss could come into the picture if Robinson delays his decision and Ole Miss does well in 2009, but Ole Miss is as much of a dark horse as LSU is.

LSU is after Robinson (MS), T.J. Leifheit (NC), and Stone (TN) and most of the guys on this board think that we won't land any of them - even though we would like one.

Wanting and thinking you have a chance are two completly different things. Please don't confuse the two.

LSU will not land any of those three OTs. I think Miles and Stud are done at olinemen this year. LSU has a ton of young talent at oline.

I didn't watch the game so I don't know, but in his highlights from last year, the D was in the backfield when he got the ball everytime. He had no OL last year at least from looking at his highlight tapes. He's the top back in MS, so he doesn't suck.

ETA - Just watched the highlights from the game and the DL has penetration pretty much everytime Nic ran the ball. Fumbles can be corrected. It looked like he still averaged at least 5 ypc.

Auburn is not in the picture for Robinson. I expect him to go to bama, UT or LSU (basically in that order of preference). i do know that Robinson had a good time at the July LSU camp.
