List the others in recruiting...
Two biggest that come to mind are Lucas Taylor and RP.

Miles messed up this year when he let not only M Conner, but J Stewart who was highly recruited and some considered the best LB in the state ,Next I would put Sentimore who is special, cause big strong fast and atheletic lineman are hard to find,Saban loves these type of players and the last person we need to help is Saban, his brother is also a great prospect which we have probably lost also. DL class could have been alot deeper this year. But outside of DL Miles has done a real good job recruiting

Lucas Taylor? Lucas Taylor wouldn't be playing for us right now. And yes, I know he caught for 1000 yards last year.
And RP? I guess in hingsight that was a bad decision be BOTH coaching staffs. Miles needed a quarterback, he was the only viable candidate left on the board and he had two months to recruit. Sounds like he didn't have much of a choice.

Here's the deal, there are six viable options for LSU this year at running back, excluding Allen who is a fullback. We have, or had, viable shots at Ford, Pratt, Michael, Richardson, Connor, and Lacy. Now, the staff ranks the backs accordingly and it appears that Richardson is at the top of the board, but he is not likely but would be a take regardless. So we get Pratt and Ford, Lacy has problems off the field and in the classroom, and Connor was just a numbers casualty. Michael just isn't going to happen.
I think that if we would have taken connor over the summer, we would have the same contingent pissing and moaning about not taking Ford after he went for almost three hundred in a strictly one-dimensional offense that is as obvious as any in the state. It's just people bitching to bitch at this point.

What coach hasn't missed on a recruit?
Do you truly want Connor to come to LSU or do you just think that because you read a post/article that told you what to think?

I have watched this kid his entire career and yes he used to run too high but that has changed. Conner is making cuts now he didn't used to make. He running very low to the ground.
OPHS faced a 4th and 4 against Byrd and went for it. It looked like he would be tackled for a loss but put his head down and was pretty much running parallel to the ground picking up the first down.
IMO LSU is missing out big time. They couldn't get him now anyways, MC has a great relationship with SLY.

He's big but I don't think we're missing out by not signing this kid.

Conner not going to MS, going to Oregon.

The only way we would be missing out on Conner is if he played LB.

Lucas Taylor would see time over the Mitchells

I don't see him starting over Lafell, Byrd, or Toliver.

Brian Duncan would have also been nice to recruit...he now leads Tx Tech in tackles at LB
