To me it looks like Xavier Hill got processed, why would we be entertaining a processed player at this point when we are going to have to process at least 1 if this Evans probably committing some time soon, which I believe it will.
He is a 3 star that got processed, we should be able to do a little better how we are standing right now!

That's fair but it does lead to a player like Van Pran running for the green pastures of Kirby "Les Miles Part II" Smart.
Well, if a recruit at a Nawlins school decides to go out-of-state because LSU did not recruit other players at his school then I'd have to say that kid wouldn't be going to LSU regardless. There's a lot of blue chip recruits coming out of New Orleans HS's every year. And I doubt UGA, bama, Fla., TAMU or a lot of other schools recruit every one of them either. And I don't think LSU's recruitment of Clayton had anything to do with Van Pran going to UGA. I mean, did UGA offer Clayton a scholarship? If so, then why didn't he go there. I Van Pran are so close that Van Pran got his feelings hurt that LSU didn't offer Clayton a committable scholarship then why are the 2 going to different schools. Anybody that uses this as an excuse as to why they went out of state is lying, they would have gone out of state anyway. They just don't want people to know they just didn't want to go to LSU. A Dylan Moses type. Moses decided he wanted to go to bama and win NC's instead of going to LSU and being a part of building a NC program. He just didn't want us LSU fans to know that, so he deflected that responsibility and said it was because LSU fired Les Miles. So if any player from a Nawlins school says he isn't going to LSU because they took a player from out of state instead of his buddy, then he wasn't going to LSU in the first place.

Exactly!
That, come here if you want to win championships has been used by Satin for years. Unfortunately some kids buy into the easy path.

Yes, they have. Players that want to glory in the accomplishments of those that came before them will never accomplish anything themselves. Might be why LSU is now beating bama.
Nick's ploy to lure recruits is one of arrogance and his own undoing. I suppose he didn't learn that in his sports psych books.

Hill is way better than his rating, he just has grade concerns. I dont really buy him being a part of the class though, Jimmy seems to think he will be, nobody else really does. We are recruiting him though, Ed O on the bye week made one his first stops to Hill's school that week to see him.

Yeah Lee isn't going anywhere, Taylor would be out on the DL before Lee, he's entertaining some other options, Lee is locked in. Lee also had a monster season compared to Taylor. I dont think we get rid of any DLineman unless we are replacing them with a better Dlineman.
Frankly, if Burch did come on board I would consider Taylor over Gaye in terms of who you look to make a spot for him. Not trying to trash on Taylor but he had jsut a ho-hum year this year and is shopping around. Gaye is an immediate impact player who off the charts measurables. He may not perfectly translate but if you lose Lawrence, Fehoko and maybe even 1 of Logan/Farrell you need a guy like Gaye to come in and give you snaps right away. He's improved a lot this year in JUCO and his film from earlier was fairly impressive.

Not that either are on the chopping block, but I believe Taylor is much better than Lee. Go watch Taylor's film. That dude's quickness and body control is off the charts. Not to mention he is a long dude, long legs, long arms.
You never know with prospects, to become elite you have to want to make plays, not just play your role. If Taylor does that, he could be a 1-2 round pick by the time he leaves here. He might be the most athletic D lineman we have committed, and that's saying a lot with Roy committed.
