Is he is mainly a blocking TE or is he used in the passing game as well? I'm sure he is a strong in the weight room.

2014 guy. Tommy Moffitt's kid. Had a huge freshman season at TE with Zach Oliver throwing to him; switched to DE as a soph; blew out his knee as a junior.

He's in the 2014 class he visited for the "Boys from the Boot"

Also from twitter
ginojoubertTSW: Did you know that Clay Moffitt is not only the S&C coach's son, but also ranked in the top 15 on the #LSU Big Board. no surprise he's strong

Hope he makes a full recovery. I noticed he has some YouTube videos of him lifting weights at 14 yrs old. Pretty impressive. I like the squat video with Clay and coach Moffit in the garage. Beast!!!

He didn't play varsity as a freshman. He was mainly used to block but was targeted on a few routes and made some catches as well

I'm a CHS grad and go to all the local games and he's very athletic for his size. He's played everything from WR to DE since he's been at CHS. He actually ran the wildcat some his freshman year. There's a lot of talk among the CHS coaches that he will end up in the Box and never see Tiger Stadium because of his 90+ fastball. FWIW
