He meant the "winning championships" culture, I think. I'm sure Alabama message boards have their share of negativity. And if the players really put a lot of stock in the behavior of the fans, I would have thought the racist sorority scandal at Alabama a few years ago would have had more of an effect in terms of recruiting.
