Big time long shot, but he seems very open right now after what happened at Florida. I think we have a slim chance, but it's still a chance. I'd focus more on Kyle Phillips, Arden Key, and Rasool Clemons.

I would love to land this kid but i think his top schools are Florida, Ole Miss, FSU, and BAMA. But like someone said if we can get him on campus you never know. LAst year apparently we were the team to beat for Lorenzo Carter and look how that turned out

Heard we were close, but now-a-days, that can mean anything. Didn't realize it was that close. Good for our staff I guess.
I posted about him early on in the process, when he already had a bunch of offers, but LSU hadn't gotten in on him yet. Not sure why it took them so long, but it could have played a part in us not building the relationship early on. Hope we start building sooner, b/c it seem we lag behind on guys you just shouldn't.

I think it came down to his family never seeing the campus. If they had, they'd have been on board IMO.

a good friend of mine is the head baseball coach at norcross high. carter woke up an lsu commit. it took family begging and a very hard push by new d coordinator jeremy pruitt to reel him in. he made the uga decision about 2 hrs before he signed. he went to bed the night before nsd a tiger. another major factor was he and his family driving in for their visit. he said it was a very long drive. dont know why he didnt fly.

I remember he committed like an hour after he was scheduled to I'm pretty sure he was still discussing his decision. It's crazy how last minute it was
