I realize it’s a long way away but I’m hearing he’s now looking at Penn State. Brady leaving supposedly was a big factor for him.

Thoughts on landing this kid?

We will survive I’m happy with what we have plus we get Nuss. Is he a Stingley on offensive I think not, who cares we coach up out players.

I trust the LSU coaching staff will do everything possible to secure Williams' commitment and signature on NSD 2021. If he chooses to go elsewhere, then he's Tiger Bait. This kid will likely change his mind 10x's in the next 365 days

We still sit well. PSU was one of the first schools he had interest in. Us and UGA just surpassed them. It's not a new interest.

Brady leaving could make a huge difference but a the new hire could change that. Just have to wait and see. Only 2-3 more months of waiting most likely. Then we will either have our guy or move to the next one.

I assumed when Brady left that our chances went down a lot. Even if we bring in somebody good, it will take a while for him to prove himself and he will be coaching a qb with no starting experience. Caleb will probably already have built some new relationships with other schools by then. Brennan is likely to be the starter for a couple of years. We'll have chances to get other great recruits by then

Uhhh, he's been looking at Penn St, because they're right freaking there. The fact that he's STILL looking at LSU after Brady left is the positive thing.

He said UGA is out of it. He said coaches leaving have little to no effect. It Sucks that Joe left but he gets it and he knows that Joe Brady isn’t the only person to ever run that system. It’s LSU, Penn State, Oregon, Clemson, Oklahoma and Maryland. I’m unsure about OU and Maryland. There’s interest but he hasn’t really visited a lot. He wants to be a Top 5 Pick not a 5th rounder that takes Maryland to a bowl game. He had a great time at Clemson’s junior day but I think he knows he’ll never beat out DJ. Oregon’s depth chart is also strong. At LSU he has a great shot at beating out everyone. He’s interested in OU but he hasn’t visited to my knowledge. Maybe OU’s plan is to take a transfer?

James Franklin has been on him for over a year and Caleb has visited Penn State multiple times.

Cracks me up when dudes come in and say “this s what I’m hearing”

There’s a ton of public articles on him visiting penn state.

Also Penn States OC Ricky Rahne left for Old Dominions head coaching job in December,

Be informed or don’t start threads pretending to be,

Then Nuss will be our guy. I’m sure if Caleb likes our new pgc then he will put us back on top.

As long as the LSU offense keeps doing their thing the QBs will come.

If the offense tanks next year then we can worry. (wont happen)

AND Caleb has said multiple times when asked, that losing Brady isn't a factor.

Which is icing on the cake of the whole "he's now looking at Penn State" hot take.

Like what?! Caleb Williams is being recruited by multiple schools and has shown interest in them?! No way!

Can't say I blame him, we have seen the offense with out Joe Brady

Steve put up 0 points vs Bama and really low numbers vs Florida he's going to have to prove he can do it by himself but i bet if we start off next year and the offense still looks solid he and other qbs will really give us a look, we need to get a elite qb this cycle

I have a question for you guys who keep hoping for “Nuss”. Do you believe he is a better prospect than Brennan? Johnson? You must feel he is 5 star talent wise because many prefer him to a 5 star top rated QB. Please explain the infatuation as it seems only you guys rate him so highly. Just curious.

He's a significantly more accurate passer than Williams. For me, accuracy would have to be a prerequisite to even think of recruiting a particular QB.

We could go on an extensive deep-dive comparing the two but I don't really feel like taking the time.

Williams has an extremely high ceiling and could be a great QB.

ETA: But I trust the coaching staff. They like Williams and Nuss so

The offense will not go backwards as far a scheme.

The in game adjustments to coverage and blitzes might slip.. depends on who we hire.

The worst we will do is bring back Munoz.

Was Burrow a five star? What set him apart was his accuracy.
If as was posted, Nuss is very accurate, he may be the guy for this offense.
